@keiko_kk1 Its pretty common in rural communities in the US, but sadly a bit lost in the cities.

@w_terrence 20 years plenty of time to have paid the fine and taken steps to become a citizen. Sorry not sorry don't feel sorry for him.

Please don’t send me back" — illegal immigrant breaks down as he faces deportation after 20 years in the U.S.
“I been here for 20 years. I work hard. I pay taxes. I never do nothing wrong. Why they do this to me? I love this country. This is my home. My kids… my family… I don’t wanna go back to Mexico. Please… please don’t send me back.”
His wife said:
“I don’t feel safe anymore—for me or for my husband. They’re tearing families apart. This is not the America I know. It’s cruel. It’s inhumane. He’s been here 20 years. He built a life here. And now they’re just gonna rip it all away because of politics.
He’s not a criminal. He’s a good man. He contributes to society. Trump and his supporters don’t care about people like us. They just want to hurt immigrants"

@BradRTorgersen Born 10 years too late for the last one. With Nasa sputtering I never thought I'd see anything like this.
English

@bestofStarTrek There was some good bones. The battle for the soul of the federation was good and do love the vengeance battleship but Cumberbatch's character wasn't Khan. He should have been an augment wet works agent working for section 31. By trying to retell wrath of khan they made it a mess
English

@zundamotisuki He's who NYC wanted and an object lesson and warning to others. Don't fall for a silver tounged communist.
English

@learning_yohei Each star represents a state. 50 stars 50 states. The 13 stripes represent the original colonies.
English

@Ganglosaxonnne I've always thought people underestimate it. Its a mech I actually want for securities merc companies and militia garrisons. Its not a front liner to be sure, but for running down scouts and making pirates rethink their lives does pretty well at it.
English

@simonateba Being nice didn't work. I don't mind bombing and mocking them into submission.
English

@piersmorgan @realDonaldTrump Crazy is part of the tactic.
English

This is embarrassing, Delete it, President @realDonaldTrump - unless you want everyone to think you’ve lost your marbles.

English

@stagechamp_96 Granted I don't like it, but I'm a guy on the internet. Play what you want especially if you enjoy it.
English

@kyuumaruTK It is, but wouldn't object if you guys wanted to build or buy a real one.
English

@BradRTorgersen @SCShipyards I honestly hated Dear Doctor for that. You had an advanced civilization that Flox was willing to sacrifice for what might be rather than what is.
English

"We will not, of course, share our miracle space medicine with your 19th-century equivalent society, because saving you from 101 commonly lethal diseases and medical maladies is against our morals. Don't worry, some day you might be good enough to be part of us. We're leaving, now!"
Of the many misguided missteps of Trek, the Prime Directive is arguably among the worst. Perhaps *the* worst?
English

The Prime Directive prohibits the Federation from knocking an ELE asteroid off its course in a way that the Stone Age society on the planet it was heading towards would never even know about.
A CO would probably ignore that for the purposes of the story, but that somehow makes the Directive even dumber

DragonShadows@DragonShadows4
@SCShipyards And that’s why the prime directive is bullshit. There are some things the federation can’t do when compared to the q but any world like this the federation has blood on their hands too. Evil happens when good people do nothing.
English

@DSPetolicchio Beauty in general uplifts the human spirit causes us to strive for something. It speaks to the divinity in us. Communism looks at us simply as animals, cogs in the machine, it seeks to crush it. Why you see no beauty in brutalism.
English

@libsoftiktok Now the story of his sons listening to Andrew Tate and Jordan Peterson now make a lot of sense.
English

@Ganglosaxonnne Teddy really was the right man at the right time for the combine. Thanks to the combine command lance got to try the Akuma for the first time. The firepower is okay, but you start putting that thing infront of Naginattas and Gunslingers you start to really see its value.
English

The Clan Invasion so damaged the Combine that, out of 99 full regiments, only 60 reduced strength regiments were left. In 3054, Teddy Kurita would issue his 'Phoenix Programs' (not to be confused with Project Phoenix) to try and reverse this destruction. 1/4🧵

OK, I'm starting to see why Sarna does the "Bad 'Mechs" articles. I'm getting more feedback than expected, to the effect of "the Timber Wolf's great, you just don't get it!"
It doesn't bother me, I know there are plenty of Mad Cat fans out there. It's just interesting to see.

lucendacier@lucendacier
Well now I feel smart for not doing a fake "this 'Mech sucks" article yesterday. I would argue with Sarna, but Tex already said all that needs to be said in his video on this 'Mech. The Mad Cat might be powerful, but also a perfect example of why the Clans lost. #battletech
