Once you see what’s going on, it’s a very dark realization of how these guys play the public opinion game They are essentially saying that the unwashed masses are not allowed to have their own opinions about their elite friends JD Greear and everybody else echoing rhetoric like this today are saying “you’re not allowed to theologically disagree with Jen Wilkin because she’s incredibly popular and she’s my friend” That’s not how Christianity works. You, yes, you, and I, and others are allowed to test the public teaching ministry of any self-professed Christian teacher, and weigh it according to God’s Word. And we can use public forums to voice concerns about incredibly popular Bible teachers. @MichelleDLesley’s article was fair, it was brief, it was a public flag being thrown on the ministry of a public teacher, saying “watch out, Jen Wilkin isn’t really the complementarian that she claims to be.” And Michelle used Jen Wilkin’s own record to demonstrate that But because functional egalitarianism is genuinely an idol for the JD Greear Wing of the SBC, they have lost their minds in response. And are now scrambling to shame anyone who doesn’t agree with them. And that is dark. They think that they are the anointed gatekeepers of evangelism, and you are not allowed to disagree with them.

I don't understand these pastors who use sabbaticals to take an egregious amount of time off of work. Stop complaining about how hard you have it. I have two elders who work 6 days a week and have to work by 4:30am, sometimes earlier. One drives a truck and another works at a concrete plant. How could I possibly look them in the eye and request time off for months on end? Outrageous. -Man up. - 1 Corinthians 16:13 -Fight the good fight. - 1 Timothy 6:12 -Do the work! - 2 Timothy 2:15 -Remember Paul's afflictions when you feel sorry for yourself - 2 Corinthians 11:25-33 -Don't succumb to "Elijah syndrome." You aren't the last prophet (pastor) of God and you're not alone. -Reclaim the Lord's Day rest. It's a gift from God! Not just the morning hours - all day! "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:14 Press on, pastor! Remember the Lord and how He set His face like flint to the cross (Isaiah 50:7).
