@SonofManwithus Read 1Cor11:23-30 and decide whether you still think it was merely a fellowship meal. Saint Paul even says people became sick and died because they ate and drank without discerning the body of the Lord, and that they are "drinking judgement upon themselves".

This has never made sense to me. At the Last Supper when Jesus broke the bread and shared the wine... He said "do this in memory of me". I know the catholic church and some other denominations have communion. But I always interpreted that as having a meal of fellowship in his name. Eating and having a drink, talking about our lord and loving each other. Am I way off base?

Being a Catholic means being willing to give the Pope the benefit of the doubt. In the case of the Axelrod meeting, which explanation is more plausible? 1. Axelrod wants to thank the Pope for the care the Catholic Church has been providing for his disabled daughter, or 2. The Pope is colluding with Democrats to elect pro-abortion and pro-gay marriage candidates. If you think number 2 is more plausible, you need to go talk to your priest and get your mind right. You’ve put politics ahead of God. That’s my TED talk for today.

@JoshuaMuscat11g @StuffForSisters That is a sin which cries to heaven for vengeance and anyone who covered it up partakes in that crime. But the Church is not just evil priests and bishops. You have been hurt and this is a tragedy and a scandal. But the face of the martyrs and the Apostles and Confessor is true.

It's regrettable that as soon as the Catholic Church has begun seeing a U.S. revival, stupid stuff starts encumbering Christian unity and Catholic evangelization. I've heard stories and seen in ministry that demonic interference increases when spiritual progress is being made.

@Benedic26361457 @StuffForSisters Remains in a state of grace? I feel like they haven’t properly addressed the pedophile scandal yet. My father in law was raped by a priest, and our family has suffered greatly as a result. There is no grace for the church to ‘remain’ in.

@StuffForSisters These things happen, the most important thing is that Catholics remain in the state of grace. There is no unity for Catholics except among other Catholics. We cannot expect heretics to stand with us against evil.

Went on a date with this nice, fun girl last month. Politics came up as we were savouring chicken souvlaki over dinner. She said “Charlie Kirk deserved to die…like for all the hate he spewed” Last time I saw her. I didn’t even bother debating bc it was such a non-starter. Some young liberal chicks are absolutely insane
