Washington did tender a qualifying offer to Watkins, making him a restricted free agent.

Don’t understand this at all from the Hornets perspective. LaMelo is an incredible offensive engine and I thought they were building around the pairing of him and Kon.
If they should be trading anyone it’s Brandon Miller. Trading LaMelo would be a huge mistake.
