AFP is urging Congress to oppose the Faster Labor Contracts Act (H.R. 5408 / S. 844) and the discharge petition to force it to the floor. This bill undermines worker choice and replaces negotiation with government-imposed contracts. That’s not reform...it’s overreach. ⬇️ americansforprosperity.org/policy-corner/…

Unlimited federal student lending drove tuition inflation and left taxpayers holding the bag. 💰 We joined a coalition led by @DFIPolicy supporting the @usedgov RISE Rule because it: ✓ Lowers college costs ✓ Promotes institutional accountability ✓ Saves taxpayers billions Congress should keep advancing higher ed reforms that put students first.
Defense of Freedom Institute@DFIPolicy

DFI is leading a coalition of sixteen expert advocates in support of a new @usedgov rule that will lower college costs for students and save taxpayers billions.

During @HouseCommerce energy subcommittee hearing, @RepGabeEvans tells the story of permitting nightmares in his home state. 🚧🏗️ This is why we must act now to pass federal permit reform.

In the digital age, the government doesn’t need to knock on your door to search your private life. Secret digital searches can expose your contacts, movements, and communications...often without your knowledge. The NDO Fairness Act, sponsored by @RepFitzgerald, would bring overdue transparency and accountability to these powers. Read more ⬇️ americansforprosperity.org/policy-corner/…

Millions of Puerto Ricans face high costs and unreliable energy every day. We went to the island to see it firsthand and talk about solutions. LIBRE’s @HTosteGOP explains how permitting reform can lower costs and improve reliability.

America’s permitting purgatory delays critical mineral projects, putting American jobs, economic prosperity and national security future at risk. The Senate must send @RepWesterman’s #SPEEDAct to @POTUS’ desk to reduce delays and unleash American energy and mineral dominance.

Great to be with Ben Brubeck, the Independent Electrical Contractors, and @SenMikeLee 's @SenateENR staff discussing permitting reform. AFP supports permitting reform that cuts red tape, lowers costs, and gets projects built.

Permitting reform shouldn’t be controversial. If it takes a decade to build, America falls behind. Faster, smarter approvals mean stronger competitiveness, better security, and lower costs for families. Appreciate @SenArmstrong's leadership on this 👇 thehill.com/opinion/energy…
Alan Armstrong@SenArmstrong

America cannot lead the world in energy, AI, manufacturing, and critical minerals if it takes a decade to build anything. Permitting reform is about restoring American competitiveness, strengthening national security, and lowering costs for families. Read my op-ed in The Hill: thehill.com/opinion/energy…

My latest w/ @InsideSourcesDC 👇🏻 “Repealing or reforming the Jones Act would not solve every affordability challenge overnight. It would lower costs, strengthen energy security, and make American supply chains more efficient. In an economy where every dollar matters, that’s a practical step Congress should take.” dcjournal.com/counterpoint-a…

I caught up with @RepMeuser at Talen Energy’s Freedom Power plant in Berwick to discuss permitting reform and why it’s critical to meeting rising energy demand, strengthening energy independence, and lowering costs for American families. The House has passed key reform bills, and now the Senate has the Unleashing American Energy & Jobs Act led by @SenMcCormickPA. Time to get meaningful permitting reform across the finish line and to the President’s desk! @SenFettermanPA

A Central Bank Digital Currency would be the ultimate surveillance tool. Last night's vote on FISA presented the best opportunity to force the Senate to address CBDC. As one of the primary members pushing for the inclusion of a ban on CBDC, I supported the passage of FISA with the ban on a CBDC out of the House. Here's more on why....

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result—that’s the definition of insanity. Rubber-stamping FISA reauthorization without real reform, after years of documented abuse? That’s not oversight—it’s institutionalized insanity.

Without a robust warrant requirement, I cannot support renewing Section 702 of FISA. To access the data of American citizens, intelligence agencies must be required to obtain a warrant. For this reason, I voted no.

Today, I voted no on the FISA reauthorization. The U.S. government should not use its intelligence gathering powers as listed under Section 702 of FISA to violate Americans' constitutional rights or improperly surveil U.S. citizens.  The intelligence community has acknowledged serious compliance failures and improper queries using American citizens’ information. While Congress has taken steps to implement reforms, more work is needed to protect Americans' privacy and uphold the Fourth amendment.
