@drhingram @TankieSlappa Depends on the fish. Standard fun fair hook a duck goldfish? Not a chance.
Full grown skipjack tuna? Given the right run up (swim up) and a waterproof microwave, and we're in business. Also possibly in danger.

@TankieSlappa I expect the doors are too heavy for their fins

@ramalina @museumbums @ucsdlibrary Surprised by fascism - more chilling than a sudden loss in water pressure
English

@JuNoonan @museumbums @ucsdlibrary We recommend putting trousers on before fighting fascism, unless it surprises you in the shower.

Watched Ocean's 11 on the flight yesterday, and thanks to @dieworkwear, was completely fixated on the tailoring.

I am sorry, Senator Vance, but writing off your political opponents because they don't have children is not only uncharitable and arrogant, it seems politically unwise, as there are at least 21.9 million women aged 20–39 who have not given birth in the United States.
I also understand that you follow the Christian faith, which centers on Jesus, who was a single man with no children. Yet, Christians recognize Jesus as both fully human and fully divine. He is the archetype of what the fully alive human being looks like, and yet he was both single and childless.
Having children is a wonderful gift, but demonizing those without children is unnecessary and offensive.

JD Vance says women who haven’t given birth like Kamala Harris are “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives,” and have “no direct stake” in America.

@nosuchthing Just been listening to the lawnmower ep of The Curious History of Your Home on @BBCSounds. Turns out the same man invented the lawnmower and the adjustable spanner. What a useful fellow.

I did wonder, and I think this is a thoughtful and sound argument with some challenging implications.

@RTPerson3 @dieworkwear Move to the UK, it's always jeans weather here...
(Currently kitted out in jeans, cami and sweater, finished with wool lined slippers. In July for Pete's sake.)

@dieworkwear Just bought my first pair of raw Japanese selvege jeans. Not because I’m a big denim guy, but because they were the only pair I could find with a 12” rise that would sit at my natural waist. Looking forward to jeans weather this fall.
English

i keep wanting to do a raw denim thread. unironically still into the stuff, even though it feels like a lot of menswear guys have moved on.

@HelenDriscoll @dieworkwear Sounds like good times.
I have never managed to get a designer for a friend, a fact that would be very clear if you ever saw me in public. Yours sounds excellent! I feel like I need a personal dresser to take me in hand.
English

@JuNoonan @dieworkwear Had amazing taste, a bit of a dandy. (but could repair a motorcycle or a guitar)
Rolling up jacket sleeves was a fashion statement then. A designer friend left a jacket - I couldn't find who did so I wore it. She said, if you're going to wear it, do it right, rolled the sleeves!
English

@HelenDriscoll @dieworkwear Ex-boyfriend is looking good!
This is how that looks is meant to be worn*, it all makes sense together and he looks incredibly cool.
*To my eye: I could be wrong, I am but a mere mortal, don't take me down etc etc
English

@dieworkwear Rolled up jacket sleeves were a thing in the early 80s on Melrose. (Musician ex-boyfriend who worked at Let it Rock)

@thevicarswife This is so beautiful!
(The toddler group part, though I'm sure your speech will be spot on)

Whilst I try to write speeches for General Synod, the Engineer is home from uni and has taken his 2yo goddaughter to our toddler group. #muchmorefun #butanovelexperiencefora19yo
