To be honest, the lack of support from Europe is due to multiple reasons 1- Europe has too many islamists and is worried about internal repercussions. 2- TDS is real 3- Iran has many frozen assets in these countries... They have to pay with interest 4- they have cooperation with IRGC that don't want to be revealed. Like motors for drones .. or English tear gases used on protesters etc.

Trump likely wants to leave NATO but the GOP Congress won't go with that now, and it'd be unpopular with the base. Europe's temper tantrum over Iran can shift things in Trump's favor. We don't recommend this strategy.

Russia is not a threat to the US. We rebuilt Europe, defended and financed financed them 80 years. But Iranian nukes and long range missiles are a threat to Europe.
