Where dialogue meets policy! Today was a powerful reminder of how #dialogue can shape national narratives. Our Fellows were welcomed by leading institutions championing #interreligious harmony in #Indonesia: the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Centre for Religious Harmony, Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU), and the Indonesian Conference on #Religion and #Peace (ICRP). Through meaningful encounter with senior representatives, Fellows explored how values of inclusion and respect are translated into concrete policy and institutional action leading to social cohesion. Today’s conversations reminded us that transformation can happen when principles and practice come together. Aujourd’hui c’est le jour de la marine à Saint Pétersbourg. Fin de la parade, les invités de la tribune officielle s’apprêtent à partir. Évidemment c’est Poutine qui quitte la place le premier. Les autres invités attendent le feu vert protocolaire. Normalement, Vladimir Vladimirovitch doit aller d’abord serrer la main du doyen des délégués africains. Il prend ostensiblement la direction opposée, pour se diriger vers le capitaine Ibrahim Traoré, avec lequel il s’entretient un petit moment. Quand il s’éloigne Ibrahim Traoré le remercie la main sur le cœur. Ensuite il va saluer les autres, mais les échanges sont plus courts et moins chaleureux. Poutine a très bien compris à qui on avait affaire. Le Burkina (et l’Afrique) a trouvé un successeur au camarade Sankara, probablement un héritier. Charisme, classe et positions anti-impérialistes. 😎😎😎
