@MuseumCommodore The game I always go back to is Fort Apocalypse. Not massive but fun to play for 10 minutes. Plexor lives here!!!

@commodorec64 Great for coding as you don't need to remember the parameter passing registers but a nightmare to reverse engineer (I'm looking at you 8 bit encrypted Capcom and Sega arcade games)
English

@wickerwaka Maybe they needed the extra speed. More likely it was an easy way to add protection with their existing tools.

@CorradoTomasel1 Actually it looks like just the second line in every chip marking was scratched
English

@CorradoTomasel1 I would think the low paid workers who manufactured the pcbs in Japan didn't read English so just scratched a random part of the TTL

@topapate I think bipolar proms were considerably more expensive in 1976. You can parallel them to do 64x64 bit multiplies according to the datasheet shop.griederbauteile.ch/en/info/7/74S2…

@MartinPiper Saving that image as its handy when you can't remember what the acronyms look like (and haven't acquired a pcb ruler yet. Lol)

Original IREM Moon Patrol had a glitch on the middle scroll layer.Changed 2 74ls283@4f&4h which improved it.Touching pin 1 of 4h made the glitch change.C68 is missing from Irem boards & manually added by Williams.Probably due to diffrnt 2732a timing. It should be across 1 and 14

@_ShootTheCore @_atrac17 @wickerwaka @topapate That is such a great idea for powering a logic probe.

I'm really excited to see Gunforce!!! Thanks a ton for your work @wickerwaka on the M92 platform.
I believe @topapate plans on doing the full schematics for this title and 'In The Hunt' this month for preservation.
Those should come in handy for the future!

@CodingAndThings Don't forget the recent weird sheet lightning storms and hail in what is considered summer. WTF is going on.

@csonesz003 No, I never found a wiring diagram. It would be a massive help if you found a manual
English

@_ShootTheCore Make sure you have the correct conversion romset (see post #27 here arcade-projects.com/threads/moonwa… ). I've done the conversion and I didn't need any wire mods

Sega System 18 #arcade repair update. After using the self-diag to track down 3 bad TTLs, 7 bad SRAM chips & reflowing the custom in the corner, Mr. Jackson almost looks the way he’s supposed to. Now the diag passes all tests-no more hints on clearing this last problem up. 😅
