@Sugar_Pops_ In what backwards place does this happen? Surely not the US, that’s illegal and would land you a hefty settlement.

If anybody tells you that marriage can not hinder your career trajectory as a woman, I want you to know that I woke up to an official rejection mail this morning and while I already knew they wouldn’t take me, it doesn’t hurt any less. The role required a flexible schedule and I really really wanted it but during the interview process, they made a comment about husbands complaining about their wives working late and I just knew.

@hell_line0 Yeah. you’re delusional. My wife worked a 6 figure Hr job that she hated. She begged to be sahm. Now I get to work even more OT to pay the bills and invest in our retirement. Society expects men to provide their wives the OPTION of being a sahm. Then shames them anyways.

I’m just going to say it… Men who expect women to stop working to care for children but refuse to pay into a retirement fund for them, are the real gold diggers.

@muheediva01 @RoyalQueen_Daiz No it’s not. Kids stay somewhere else. Usually an older cousin or older aunt watches all the kids in another location.

I don’t think not wanting kids at your wedding is controversial. Just don’t get mad at the people who choose not to attend or send a gift. I understand not wanting kids underfoot at your wedding and I also understand families choosing to not come because they are told they can’t bring their kids.🤷🏽‍♀️

@c87033 @MarvinDunn4 It hinders white people (MAGAs) ability to discriminate against Black people, that’s all the argument MAGA justices care about. They’ll rule 6-3 in favor of another Dred Scott case if they have the chance

@JuneMae14 @MarvinDunn4 The ... arguments used to support Dobbs and overturn Roe can be used to overturn Brown and Loving? That's either fascinating or bullshit. Bets on the latter, but I'll give it a chance. Which arguments are these and how do they apply?

THE BROWN DECISION IS NEXT. I never thought they would overturn Roe V Wade or cut the guts out of the Voting Rights Act. The Brown Decision of 1954 that ordered public schools desegregated will be next. There is no such thing as "settled law" in America. #repostblackhistory

WTF? So because the Supreme Court hands down a decision you don't like on Dobbs(*) and overturns racial discrimination you do like with the VRA, you think they're going to overturn Brown to allow facial discriminatory? Roe is legal trash. It literally reads like they were planning to create a self- defense right to abortion when the mother's health is endangered paralleling the general right to use lethal force to defend life and limb, changed their mind about what abortions to allow, and didn't bother to change the justification, just made up something about privacy and created a trimester system like they were writing law. Which considering some threats at the time MAY have been exactly what happened.

@perealaw @MarvinDunn4 Not according to Trump’s justices. I’m sure before 2028 they’ll have overturned Brown, Loving, and ruled the 13th amendment is unconstitutional because it infringes upon white people being able to own slaves

@MarvinDunn4 It’s a fundamental right and it is settled. They would have to go back to separate but equal standards which is unconstitutional.

6 justices just rewrote 60 years of civil rights law. A state can now crack and pack Black and Latino voters into powerless districts and the law can't touch it, as long as they claim politics, not race. Texas already did this. We lived it. I lived it. This Supreme court ruling makes it harder to fight back in court. It does not make it impossible. And it does not make us quit. The ballot box is still ours. #SCOTUS

@CharlesHouser1 @Davidhutson78 @DrOBrienMD When in the entire history of Alabama has a white politician cared about the interests of Black voters (excluding liberals during reconstruction era)??? Never. Forcing Black voters to be controlled by people who hate them violates 14th amendment

@Davidhutson78 @DrOBrienMD One question. Does”proper representation” imply that a white person cannot effectively represent the needs of a minority? Can only a minority effectively represent the needs of another minority?

@4P4triot @ReverendWarnock When MAGA repeals the 14th amendment the US will be in the same position it was in 1865, which is what MAGA wants unfortunately. Zero rights for most and all the rights for a few

Texas is suing a Delaware nurse for $100,000 per package. Her crime: Mailing abortion pills. She refuses to stop. She’s using Delaware "shield laws" to bypass the Texas ban. Texas residents now receive more pills by mail than any other state. This is a legal collision course.

@NewsWire_US A black voter is “represented” by whoever wins the election in their district. You don’t lose representation just because the person you vote for doesn’t win.

@Dragonfly1776T @peterproctor @hell_line0 That’s informed consent. Owning a gun has risks too, but that’s not restricted. The government cannot force women to go to the doctor, people can do what they want

@jumper42 @covie_93 There are more black people in Louisiana percentage wise than republicans in San Francisco. Not the same at all. So Black people in the state no longer have representation in government, despite paying taxes.

@MarcoFoster_ @cthagod Pain in their everyday lives how? What is an example? Sounds more like people are so spoiled today they mentally cannot handle when their preferred candidate does not win the White House. In the past people accepted and moved on with their lives, now its just tantrums and hatred.
