AI data centers aren’t the real problem. Dependency is. People protesting infrastructure while living on: • smartphones • cloud apps • streaming • social media • online banking • AI tools …is peak hypocrisy. Modern society depends on centralized systems for food, money, energy, communication, and security. Most people don’t grow food, understand cyber warfare, supply chains, or geopolitical resource competition — yet think shutting down data centers changes reality. The truth: Countries will always prioritize infrastructure, energy, military readiness, and survival. Civil unrest is increasingly disguised as “anti-AI” sentiment when the deeper issue is instability, inflation, and loss of trust. Want real sovereignty? Grow food. Learn technology. Build community. Reduce dependency. Own your data. Own your money. Nature + technology is the future.

@liquidaiwater @DerrickEvans4WV Bingo! A few are awake. 99% of Americans are clueless. Can you image if those sitting on city/town/county boards and councils had this knowledge and with they power they have? Ridiculous. Republican & Democrat Political Parties have neutered Americans to defend themselves.

Ding ding. You connected the dots. You can run a very competent model with a 3500 dollar machine. And as tech gets better, locally hosted AI ( on your machine) will do 98% of most tasks. So what happens to all these centers? The mainframes of the past or data repositories to lock people down?

I’m not saying they are building all these data centers to roll out the social credit scores. I’m just saying I don’t think we need all of these data centers to run ChatGPT, Grok, Claude etc. But if you did want social credit scores, you would need a lot of data centers🤔

No you fucking idiot. Computing needs to get better at using electricity. The human brain runs at 20 WATTS. This conman wants to build TERAWATTS so chatbots can hallucinate faster. The LLM approach is FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG and he’s too stupid and arrogant to get it.

I, like many others, have been a direct participant in our society's technology arc. For four decades, I worked for awesome IT vendors. Launched important products. Worked with clients on how best to move forward. I've been inside dozens and dozens of data centers around the world. For me, it was obvious that all this tech was making the world a much better place: faster, cheaper, safer, healthier, wealthier, less stressful and more enjoyable. I couldn't imagine that anyone would seriously oppose human progress. Or if such miscreants existed, no one would listen to their crazy rantings. After watching a well-orchestrated moral panic over AI data centers, I can vouch for the following: - The facts almost never support the fears - Many people celebrate their ignorance - The objectors do not care about societal harms While some of the resistance is undoubtedly organic, there is strong circumstantial evidence of external funding and organization. And I'm quite sure a lot of money is changing hands to support the "movement". In 2020, AOC and Bernie Saunders proposed a nationwide ban on fracking in the US. The moral panic was quite similar. My favorite was the "burning water" story, that fracking had so badly polluted the local water that you could actually light it on fire. Of course, fracking had nothing to do with it, the water table had become naturally intermixed with underground methane. It had always been undrinkable and could be "burned" for centuries prior. But it sure made for a great story, didn't it? In 2026, fracking (tight oil) is now estimated to supply TWO THIRDS of US oil production, thanks to the new tech. World geopolitics changed for the better as a result. These same people are now back with a proposed AI data center ban. But there's no "burning water" for them to point at this time around. Here are my directly observed facts: Noise: almost silent when connected to the grid. Water: used for cooling, then returned. Farmland: generally too expensive for data centers. Size: bigger ones are more efficient than smaller ones. Caveats: - gas turbines do generate noise, - if power drops, the diesel generators fire up - some water gets evaporated during cooling - marginal farmland is sometimes attractive Data centers create skilled jobs, often in places where there are few. After construction, traffic is minimal. Here on X, the opposition falls into three groups: = "no nothings" - emotional rants from unstable people - "fear grifters" - drive clicks with outrageous claims - "paid actors" - clearly sponsored and coordinated What does this last group really want? The same thing the anti-fracking crowd was after -- a severely crippled US economy. The good news? The federal government will step in as a matter of national security if this continues, as it should. Just one more reason to never let the Dems anywhere near power ever again.

This is what is wrong with America. Americans don't know the language to defend their unalienable rights on their two feet and brains. #FreedomFirst! "The first step in enslaving a people is to give them a language that makes it impossible to describe their own freedom." © June_12_1776 2026 Data center is a foreign alien illegal immigration invasion into YOUR UNALIENABLE RIGHTS. The Federal Government and its regulatory judically captured Republican and Democrat Parties and its captured States are co-defendants of high trespasses upon your American unalienable rights, hence, they have never and will never defend unalienable rights and home self-governance. This is not said in a rude way, but how do you outright ban data centers? One of the largest inbound data routes for the US is in Miami. As for foreign money, it is illegal to take foreign money in US elections and AIPAC doesn't donate to state races (since that's the implication here)

Big Tech companies are sprinting forward, building data centers as fast as they can, sometimes using eminent domain to seize the land by force, making their AI more and more powerful, expanding the technology at lightening speed with no guardrails of any kind at all. Yet none of these tech gurus or any of their apologists have even attempted to explain what exactly all of the millions of people who lose their jobs, and the increasing numbers who lose their homes, all sacrificed on the AI altar, are supposed to do. How does society support millions of unemployed and displaced people? What becomes of a society where algorithms and machines do everything, and a few people become trillionaires while millions more lose everything? There is no answer to any of this. They aren’t even attempting to answer it. Instead we’re simply told that China exists and we have to “beat them” in some unspecified way, in order to achieve some unspecified goal. We’re going to obliterate entire industries, entire categories of jobs all at once, and the only justification anyone can give is “China.” It’s madness.

🚨OMG, the @washingtonpost ed board actually gets it right on #datacenters: "The great infrastructure projects of the 20th century — highways, dams, the electric grid itself — were built in pursuit of a shared vision of national prosperity. No such vision exists for data centers today. Building one starts with taking people’s concerns seriously, getting the facts right — and making the honest case that the AI revolution can benefit all of society." This is it, exactly. In today’s episode of “The More You Know” we address the hyperventilating over @kevinolearytv 's data center project. You know the one. The "THIS DATA CENTER WILL SET OFF 23 ATOM BOMBS A DAY!!! " clickbait outrage. (see post below) Here are some actual facts about Phase 1 that 99.9% of people whose teats in a wringer over now, but last week, couldn't have found Box Elder County on a map if it were highlighted and had fire ants crawling all over it. GET THIS: The source of energy behind Phase 1 is an old friend of ours - natural gas - that arrives via the Ruby Pipeline. Ruby runs 680 miles from the Opal Hub in Wyoming to Malin, Oregon crossing northern Utah into Nevada and Oregon. The 42-inch-diameter pipeline is operated by Tallgrass Energy. It has a capacity of 1.5 billion cubic feet per day and has been in service since 2011. While utilization has historically been around 50% leaving room for additional capacity. The Stratos project can fill up that pipeline up to capacity with Phase 1. AND GET THIS - Ruby runs directly through the project site, which was deliberately chosen for this reason. Stratos will generate 100% of its own electricity on-site, behind-the-meter from a direct tap into the Ruby Pipeline using natural gas produced in Utah and Wyoming. BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE: The first phase will likely use VoltaGrid’s Jenbacher-powered systems for Stratos Phase 1 These are portable, scalable engines that use Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology which cuts NOx by 85–97% and delivers CO₂e emissions that are 30 to 40% lower than typical. AND GET THIS: Closed-loop cooling systems minimize waste heat. The combination of these two technologies provide clean, low-heat, efficient power cleaner than regional grid power itself. No its not 23 atom bombs going off day after day. Yes it is the same source of energy that people will use to cook dinner tonight and then will log into an Instagram data center to post about how bad data centers are. There you have it. The more you know….

🇺🇸 Tucker is sounding the alarm on the largest AI data center ever proposed in the U.S. 40,000 acres, 62 square miles, all in Utah. Power consumption: 9 gigawatts, double what the entire state of Utah currently uses. One building… using more electricity than every home, business, and factory in the state combined, and it's being built in one of the most water-stressed regions in the country. Nobody's asking if the grid can handle it, nobody's asking what happens to the water, the elites just want it built. @tuckercarlson
