The Judge in Kisumu should immediately call for the fike and review the decision of the magistrate. This is unacceptable and immoral. They shouldn't have arrested if they were not ready to prosecute. 14days to investigate a simple matter as this amounts to pre trial punishment. @Kenyajudiciary @CJMarthaKoome

Macmillan Motari Nyakwaya (in handcuffs), a 23-year-old TikToker, was today, March 11, 2026, presented before Senior Resident Magistrate Noelyne Reuben Akee at the Kisumu Law Courts following his arrest yesterday over the alleged destruction of Kenyan currency in viral TikTok videos. The suspect was, however, not charged after the prosecution filed an application seeking to have him detained for 14 more days to allow investigators to complete investigations. He will be remanded at Kisumu Central Police Station until March 25, 2026, when the court will rule on the application. Photos by Clinton Ambujo.

I have come to accept that LSK as formulated can't assist lawyers when it is overwhelmed with Wanjiku matters. The union aspect needs to be isolated.

This is something I have observed for quite some time and I have to ask.
How bad is the work environment in law firms?
A good number of cases I have seen with chronic stress, anxiety, sleeplessness are in law related fields.
Because an intervention is desperately needed.

Justice for victims matters, and so does due process. Anonymous social media posts aren’t evidence. Argument should be LSK to build a platform that protects victims and verifies claims. Also, you cant bin Art 50 by condemning unheard and saying evidence is not needed in SH cases!
