Have your political views changed over the past few years? I know mine have- A LOT. What was it for you that really changed your views? For me, it was being nearly murdered by a foreign criminal at random in Utah. Also, living in the heart of SLC and seeing my once safe city turn into a complete third-world, non-English-speaking, non-Christ-worshipping, DEI invaded hellscape while recovering from this nightmare.

It is highly disturbing that a multi-billion-dollar tech company can waltz into a town, threaten the local zoning board with lawsuits if they don't comply, acquire huge acreage adjacent to existing neighborhoods, and build massive data centers that emit all sorts of pollution: Noise pollution, light pollution, even harming the water quality and more. The local humans living there are finding they have ZERO political power with the local authorities, and they are being steamrolled by Big Tech that operates through numerous shell companies and shadow organizations to try to hide their origins. This phenomenon is reaching crisis levels across America, and it needs to be stopped. We cannot allow the interests of Big Tech to override fundamental human rights like living in a neighborhood where you can still hear the birds and still see the stars at night. These data centers have to be stopped. Put them in orbit! Put them in a desert somewhere! Don't build them right next to neighborhoods and human living spaces. We must protect the farms, the neighborhoods and local resources like water. Data centers have gone too far and are intruding on the quality of life of our citizens.

People still aren’t processing how insane this is. They’re weaponizing the 'Military Authority' to fast-track the largest data center on Earth in Utah and using “military operations” & “national security” to shut down any public opposition. “Diabolical” is an understatement.

Right on the California/Nevada border near Primm is this failed power plant. You have all driven by it. It was funded and backed by Google. Funded by billionaires. It now produces 0 power but will be there forever. They fund the tech but not the cleanup when it fails.

I want to address all the arguments people are making for this monstrosity of a data center in Box Elder County, so forgive me if I repeat myself. I’m not against data centers in principle. But this isn’t just any data center. It’s going to be 5 to 25 times bigger than the average data center. It will use more energy than the entire population of the state of Utah. It will require massive amounts of water which is in short supply in Utah right now. “But it’s a closed cooling system!” So you say now. When it’s built and things aren’t as advertised, what’s stopping it from draining Willard Bay which is where I happen to get my water from. And if you think that’s hyperbole, this thing is bigger than Ogden. “But it’s out in the middle of nowhere!” So what? You think that just because you don’t have to look at it that it won’t be a problem? And guess what, no it isn’t. Not really. It will have massive impacts on Tremonton, Snowville, Honeyville, Deweyville, Riverside, and any number of towns in the immediate vicinity in Box Elder County. “But it’ll create jobs!” Not for you! You’re a fool if you think these jobs are for you. Mr. Wonderful will bring in his own people and cheap foreign labor to run this thing, just like all of Spencer Cox’s other tech buddies. They’ll flood Tremonton and other towns in Box Elder County with these new arrivals and wreck the place just like tech bros have wrecked Utah, Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber counties with this stuff. “But my property rights!” You don’t have the right to adversely affect everybody else even if you do it on private property. You think that just because you own the land that gives you a moral right to mess up every community around you? Please. “What about alfalfa farmers?” Yeah! I agree! They shouldn’t have as much water as they go either. But are we talking about them right now? “But China will win the ai race if we don’t!” Okay. Let them. I do not care. This is a fear tactic used to shut people up to not oppose things that will clearly harm them. Not buying it. “But progress!” I am for organic progress that benefits Utahns, not toxic imposed progress that benefits only Spencer Cox and his allies at the expense of me and my fellow Utahns. This data center is an abomination that directly affects me and my home. And I’m sick and tired of Utah being sold out to tech bros and their cheap foreign labor in the name of so-called progress. While Utah families struggled through the COVID-19 pandemic, CentraCom, Gov. Spencer Cox’s family business, cashed in big on the response. CentraCom Interactive received $839,708 in federal ARPA grant funds (COVID relief money) plus $279,903 in matching funds, for a total of over $1.1 million, to build high-speed fiber serving 473 households in Millard County. Pandemic-driven demand for remote learning and work turned into major broadband expansion grants for the Cox-connected company.

Lee Perry is a good man. He doesn't deserve this. We need to come together and have an honest conversation about data centers, why they're needed, what the downsides are, and what it means to beat China in the AI race. I'm worried about what will happen if we don't.
