@farsideagm @wweek CDC Opioid prescribing guidelines were issued to facilite Opioid litigation. CDC counted illicitly manufactured fentanyl with other synthetic opioids since the 70's. It's never been about rx Opioids. Proof is the exponential rise in IMF while opioid rxing is at 80's rx levels.

I know what I know about pain med doctors. People who truly need these end of life drugs can still get them but the avg prescription addict was severely restricted. The over prescribing Doctors were restricted, which is a good thing. I had a knee scope done 3 years ago, great surgeon but I had to tell him on three separate occasions, that I didn’t need/want Oxy for pain relief. Statistics also show that many long term pain Docs over prescribe and high percentage of them end up on their own juice. This is Big Pharma influencing the necessary oversight, to simply peddle more product. And these prescriptions end up being the start of real addictions problems for lots of patients.

All throughout her treatments, she's been denied opioids for her pain! You may know what you know, but you also don't know what you don't know. I haven't been able...

@farsideagm @wweek Facts are that the DEA only metric was to reduce Opioid prescribing without tracking outcomes of reducing Rx Opioid rx's. Countless people with pain have died since the 2016 CDC Opioid rxing guidelines were enforced as defacto laws.
