I had to cancel my Long Covid Clinic today because I wasn’t well enough to attend. Instead I was offered a telephone slot at my appointment time. Still referred for the same tests, chatted through previous results. For patients who struggle to drive, experience PEM etc this is 👌🏻

@InkwellPaul I think it’s an almost wilful snobbery. Like pop music is beneath them. I recall a story about a Beatles question they didn’t get saying it was “before their time”. And then proceeded to get a question on Mozart correct 🤷‍♂️

Like they had *nothing*. Even if you didn’t recognise the pieces (3 of most famous blues tracks of all time), wouldn’t you at least guess one of these acts? It’s rare that a team can’t even venture an educated guess on a subject, yet on pop music they’re regularly *clueless*

Uni Challenge contestants lack of pop music knowledge is actually bizarre. Bonus round on blues - answers Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson & Holwin Wolf. Didn’t get one, had literally no clue. Given their breadth of knowledge, so odd that pop music is such a consistent blind spot.

I got my Novavax Covid vaccine yesterday and I feel 100% fine today. The mRNA vaccines usually make me feel like garbage the next day. You can find it now at most locations of CVS, RiteAid, Kroger, Costco and by next week it should be at Walgreens and Walmart.

Mate of mine, 30, who will be a fully qualified vet next year, is taking his US vet exam in December. He plans on moving out there (with his GF, soon fiancé, who is also a vet) in 2026. He’s Yorkshire born & bred. But even he cannot resist the economics of a starting salary of $125,000 + $20-50k sign in bonus. The brain-drain from Britain is real. If we thought the 60-70s was bad, we’ve seen nothing yet. It’s not just the top 5% who pay most income tax that funds our public services, it’s normal professionals. We’re going to experience horrendous economic problems in the next decade.

@JustinBateman it’s based on user upvotes/downvotes and comments. i meant that in the sense of algorithmic playlisting has removed a lot of humanity from the music discovery process.
