@christopherrufo You could easily refute this premise by looking into the history of plagiarism software… by 2004, most universities were using essay database and text matching algorithm tools, the latter in response to Wikipedia

The Washington Post is advancing the argument that Kamala Harris didn't really plagiarize because she wrote her book "when electronic research became more common." In other words, it's not her fault that she was too dim to understand how to use a computer or add quotation marks.

@garrytan Completely agree. No matter how good of an idea I’ve ever had or seen, someone has tried it before—the best maybe too close to tell who actually got off the line first.

Spoke to a "venture group" in Nashville recently. I asked them what their ownership targets were and they told me 40% at seed. This is why the Tier 3 cities for building startups will never be taken seriously

@evisdrenova @rishijaguar @wolfejosh You can’t bc you weren’t there in 2005. You could virtually say anything you wanted to then — no social media, no cancel culture or thought police.

@rishijaguar @wolfejosh He doesn't have anything to lose so he doesn't regulate himself. I can't imagine Elon saying something like this when he was at Tesla in 2005. When he had everything to lose.

EV charging access is still prohibitive to a large population eg those without suburban homes. It’s a huge inconvenience to plan life and errands around where you can find a supercharger or overnight charging. Also, limited number of models should have been included in the survey. Some would love a Tesla if they head a pickup like rivian, for example.

@tomchapin @babarganesh @CJHandmer I don’t think you realize how unlikely a death is from skydiving (coming from a skydiver). Not that I don’t get the point you are trying to make, compared to driving, lightening strikes… bee stings. It’s rare.

@babarganesh @CJHandmer Maybe we would have AI robots do the risky work? I’m ok with there being less skydiving and cliff jumping in the future. So many people do risky things and sacrifice their lives for no good reason other than thrill seeking.
