5 things to do if you want to achieve long term goals. It's worth it, but hard to believe our losses happen for a reason. Crucial, but challenging to believe our setbacks are setups. As a lifelong Michigan Football fan, I’ve been waiting 40 years for today's National Championship. My uncle played at Michigan back in the day. I've always been inspired by his experience. Especially hearing Bo Schembechler moments. None more memorable than 🏆 “Those who stay will be champions” The last few years have been so full of setbacks. For me, grief and loss. For @UMichFootball loss and adversity. This was not just victory on the field. It ran way deeper than a game. It was a mission. A culmination of years of resilience. Every obstacle tested them more and more. Yet every setback seemed to strengthen their ability to create bigger moments. When setbacks happen we can't imagine how this is possible. All we can do is believe. @jjmccarthy09 I have big goals. I know you do too. But maybe you can relate? Every step forward seems to lead to another step back. Yet, if we just keep going we will emerge stronger and more focused. In grief, we can find strength. I'm too old to play football now. But I channel the losses into making stuff. ✍🏼 Writing. 🎙️ Podcasting. On one hand it's not that deep. On the other hand, it reflects a greater truth about the human experience. Adversity is not just a part of life. It's a crucial element in shaping who we become. Whether we like it or not. Worthwhile wins are the result of years of learning from failure, and growing stronger in the face of defeat. This is the essence of the hero's journey in all of us. As we face challenges, we can emerge more prepared, determined and eventually, victorious Once we succeed it will all make sense. And "those who stay, will be champions." #BET To achieve any long term goal, there are 5 things to do: 1 Family first 2 Build daily habits 3 Stay in the present moment 4 Process matters more than the goal 5 Keep going

@ugmonk Reminds me of @sivers values in many ways. I feel similar, but don't sell physical products, so I always wonder how I can create something analog, "old school", limited, that I can ship with care. I have a few ideas. Something tells me it will start with journals.

People think we're crazy to keep shipping in-house, but I'd have it no other way. Today's orders. 📦📦📦

I feel like I'm missing something... Shouldn't @MLB get rid of the pitch challenge and simply have ball/strike calls from the robots for every pitch without delay ? Wouldn't that be way more efficient than challenges/reviews?

There's no such thing as being "late" when it comes to podcasting. Its not like investing in Bitcoin. Podcasting is more like being an author. Books have been around many years, with many purposes. Same with your show. I have one podcast (but another in the works) One of my colleagues has like ten different shows. Not episodes, but shows! There's no right way, or wrong way. There is just your way. If you want help figuring out how a podcast could fit into your overall plan, just let me know. It would be a lot of fun to help!

What is the % of clients that can give you a great testimonial? Sales is the easy part of building a business. Success is what really matters. Its easy to get someone to sign up for personal training based on a promise of getting their beach body. But do all of your clients achieve it? Do all of your clients actually write the book, start the podcast, sell their art, etc? Thats the tough part and where the greatest differentiator can be *to set ourselves apart as business leaders*

You dont need a "backup plan" Everyone has a different situation, but either way you can keep chasing your big dream, and it will work out! All the while you may need to find a job, take on some clients, spend some time on things other than your craft. But, dont give up! Authors, keep writing. Musicians, keep singing. Podcasters, keep recording. It will work out. If you Just Keep Learning.

This really is a game changer. If books 📚 are the most underpriced asset to help you achieve goals, then I feel Community 👬👫👭 is second! If you have a vision, or a goal, find a community of people on the same journey as you and join them to teach, learn, share and hold each other accountable! Ive been part of communities from so many incredible creators that have shaped how I understand content, publishing, podcasting and business.

"Will [Brady Tkachuk] go on his podcast and talk about his team not responding after Oliver Ekman-Larsson buried Dennis Gilbert into the boards and injured him?" @JDBunkis and @SamAMcKee react to the first Battle of Ontario since Tkachuk's comments on Matthews' injury.

Almost complete opposite situation . Standing up stick infraction that was hard to see. They're fighting for a playoff spot and dominating a game when Rangers (miller) would love to stir some energy up. Chabot skated away quickly. . And as a bonus, Brady is tight with Miller (but I doubt it would stop him if the situation was similar to Gudas)

@LalimesMartian I mean he was staring right at it. Probably should have responded in the moment like he talked about on his podcast. Or is Chabot not important enough?

I think there’s a chance Tkachuk does make Miller fight him for the crosscheck to the wrist of Chabot

Thomas Chabot leaves the ice in obvious pain clutching his right wrist at the end of the 1st. It’s the same wrist that Chabot injured & required surgery on in the offseason in 2024. #Sens

It might be subconscious. But, do you struggle with posting because of what people might think? Its like the first tee jitters. We think everyone is watching us... When really no one cares. Everyone has their own problems, fears, insecurities. So dont worry about what other people think. Just publish. Publish your book. Publish your music. Publish your poetry. Publish your podcast. Throwback to the time I had to really remind myself this too.

I wanna write a long-form on: “How to build a business from scratch with nothing but a laptop and $50. • With zero audience • Without being an expert • Without showing your face.” I’ve taught more than 250 people how to do this so far with a staggering success rate. Will write it today if we get 250 replies below. Otherwise - Monday.

I want to be rich. I'll admit it. But not so I can buy a Rolex or a Lamborghini. I want to be rich so I can control my time and go to the gym at 3 pm on a Tuesday. So I can sit at a cafe and order breakfast without looking at the prices. So my wife and parents don't have to worry about money or having a job. So I can travel freely and show my kids the world. So I can take my friends out to dinner and say, "Don't worry, it's on me." So my kids can go to Alpha School and get the very best education. That's my idea of a rich life. Money isn't the goal; it's a tool to live a deeper, more fulfilling, adventurous life.

You can start a podcast, or a new show. Every business should have a podcast. Everyone (could) should have a podcast! Yes, even you. And your mom. And your sister and your business. **But, that show is unique as your DNA (A cadence, topic, style, tech, business that is specific to you) If you want help quickly figuring out what your show should be, comment, or DM. #podcast #podcasting
