It was a catastrophic miscalculation that fractured a years-in-the-making coalition at the worst possible moment, handed the industry's opponents exactly the opening they needed, and left the rest of the crypto community to clean up the wreckage. The full consequences of that decision are still unfolding. But enough has already happened that we can say with certainty: the industry is worse off than it was before you posted.
