Yesterday marked a historic and deeply memorable milestone as we officially launched the 5th Chapter of the Africa Youth Leadership Forum in the Tooro Region and the 30th Chapter in Uganda.

While there, we also had the opportunity to meet @VanessaFRoux, a board member of the @APN_Secretariat & a strong, passionate advocate for the movement to make Africa borderless now. Her commitment to advancing economic integration across the continent were equally inspiring.

Drawing from his experience in regional youth diplomacy, Mr. Jacob Eyeru (@Jacobeyeru), President @ICGLRyouth and Former Chairperson @NYCofUganda (2020–2025), emphasized that meaningful influence requires organization, knowledge, and sustained commitment from young people across the region. He challenged youth to move beyond symbolic participation and work toward influencing decisions at the strategic level in regional peace and security processes. He noted: “I want to be very honest to you: there is no age at which you are qualified enough to be involved in any matter internationally, except for your level of knowledge and your level of dedication.”
