The Constitution deliberately includes checks like the Electoral College, equal Senate votes per state, and an independent judiciary to prevent simple majority rule from overriding minority rights.In short: mostly democratic, deliberately not fully democratic. I found this in a wallet that I thrifted. I don't see any ID in it. Should I keep it? Someone I knew who works at the same thrift store told me to return it, because that's how it's supposed to be, or she's going to tell the owner. Would the owner have the right to get it back? I'm still contemplating.
