@OnDisasters You can see a test engine mount point behind the cockpit. I guess they put a bunch of support & test equipment into the upstairs area

@Turbinetraveler I believe he only actually flew (hands & feet on live controls) for a few minutes on one flight in a 707 I think that’s in his book

One of the rare known images of Frank Abagnale Jr. — the legendary con man, scam artist, and master forger. Pictured in the pilot’s seat of a Pan American World Airways airliner, he managed to fly over 1,000,000 miles in full uniform, travelling for free on more than 250 flights to 25 countries … He was never their employee. He was never a pilot. Let that sink in.

Conversation I see on X: so long pentesters, AI is taking your job! Conversations I have with clients: The password Winter2025! was valid for a user. We got in through vpn (no mfa). We kerberoasted the built-in admin account and cracked the hash. The password was badass1983!. Oh and your DCs are on the internet, did you know that? The internet, as amazing as it is, is very much an echo chamber. If you’re an IT admin or IT/Security leader it’s paramount that you talk to people in the trenches, preferably somewhere other than social media.

@OnDisasters Iran Air was the SP launch customer, but they had no issue connecting thru Europe while the Shah was in power I grew up with PanAm - nearly ended up there. Tehran was a PanAm city with 707/747 service to NY (via Rome, I think) until the Iranian Revolution in 78

Given Iran (back then for other reasons) wasn´t very popular with other nations - and allow stopovers - Boeing stepped in with the 747 (SP - "Special Performance") a shortened 747, trading load for extra range, hence its "stubby" looks, as seen on the final seconds of the video. Another customers included South Africa and Taiwan.

MD-11 stall test. Given the size of the tail structure - not mentioning it has a WHOLE ENGINE IN IT! - the fact it shakes and rattles like that - but it won´t break - is a testament to its engineering

@techspence At the cyber vendors where I worked, leaving your system unlocked meant your email used to send somewhat nasty messages - to your boss, usually
