NEW: State Board of Education Members Brandon Hall, Julie Pickren, and Tom Maynard sent a letter to TEA Commissioner Mike Morath, urging additional action on the anti-ICE school walkouts that have occurred across Texas. "It appears a stern warning is simply not enough." #txlege

Of course an affluent lawyer wants a $10000 coupon to send his litter to a private school. Elected officials should not be allowed to directly take advantage of legislation they wrote

I just finished registering my kids for Texas Education Freedom Accounts at educationfreedom.texas.gov! Simple process that only took about 15 minutes for 3 kids. Every Texas parent considering a private or homeschool education for their children should apply! Thank you, @GregAbbott_TX, @BradBuckleyDVM, @SenCreighton, @AFPhq, @SchoolChoiceNow, @DeAngelisCorey, @TPPF, and everyone else who made this possible!

@KDsane67369 Government-run schools to which students are assigned based on the location of their home is socialism. This alternative entails families choosing in a market for a fraction of the cost per pupil.

Just out of curiosity how much does @LeanderISD lose with these students walking out? After closing one school and struggling with increasing enrollment maybe just maybe you would want ALL students to participate in school for the day and not walk out?

This is why Christians should not attend government schools. Public Ed. teaches secular humanism. Get back to the basics with paper, pencils and books.

@LeadingReport I'm a Christian but this is not fair to non-Christians. Religion has no place in public schools. I don't know why everything, from both sides, has to be pushed so far. Can't we just teach kids math, science and reading in schools??

Everyone agrees that the goal of math class isn't to get students to "love doing math" but to bring them to at least a baseline competence Shouldn't we have the same mindset and approach to reading?

🚨 BREAKING NEWS - THANK YOU, TEXAS AG KEN PAXTON! TEAMWORK, TEXAS - PROGRESS UPDATE: RAIR’S MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD BOMBSHELL IS FORCING ACTION IN TEXAS We warned Texas. Now, Texas is moving. After RAIR Foundation USA exposed how Texas school-choice dollars were poised to bankroll Hamed Ghazali — a Muslim Brotherhood kingpin named in the Brotherhood’s own 1991 “civilization jihad” blueprint and tied to Hamas and Al-Qaeda fundraising networks — the legal landscape just changed. Attorney General Ken Paxton has now confirmed that the Texas Comptroller has full authority to BLOCK taxpayer funds from going to any private school illegally tied to terrorists or foreign adversaries. This is the enforcement mechanism RAIR and Texans demanded when we delivered our evidentiary dossier to Texas authorities. 🔥 WHAT RAIR EXPOSED RAIR documented that: • Ghazali is personally named in the Muslim Brotherhood’s 1991 Explanatory Memorandum . • He solicited funds for the Holy Land Foundation (later convicted of funding Hamas). • He interviewed Al-Qaeda-linked operatives calling for weapons support and jihad recruitment. • He promoted Sayyid Qutb’s Milestones, the ideological blueprint for 9/11. • He defended the death sentence for Salman Rushdie. • His Houston Quran Academy is positioned to receive guaranteed Texas taxpayer funding through the ESA voucher program. Bottom line: Texas taxpayers were about to fund one of the Muslim Brotherhood’s named education architects. ⚖️ WHAT JUST CHANGED Paxton’s opinion now confirms: ✔ The Comptroller has exclusive authority to bar ESA funds under SB 2 for schools tied to terrorists or foreign adversaries. ✔ Any school providing material support to designated terrorist groups is legally ineligible. ✔ The Comptroller can halt approvals and deny funds — without interference. Paxton stated plainly: “Texans’ tax dollars should never fund Islamic terrorists or America’s enemies… The Comptroller’s Office is statutorily charged with protecting the program from abuse.” 🎯 WHY THIS MATTERS This is directly about the Ghazali pipeline RAIR exposed. The legal tools now exist to: • Freeze Ghazali-linked schools • Block voucher payments • Audit MB-connected schools • Halt expansions 🧨 BOTTOM LINE RAIR cracked this case open, and the TEXANS DEMANDED ACTION! Texas now has the evidence and the authority to act. We are making progress and we are not backing off. Now the Comptroller must shut down Ghazali’s Sharia education pipeline for good. RAIR Foundation USA will continue exposing these networks. SEE THE FULL REPORT: rairfoundation.com/bombshell-texa…

‼️ “I took my daughter to school healthy and safe, and I got her back fighting for her life.”‼️ That is what a mother in Round Rock, TX wants people to hear. Alliyah says that on January 12, she dropped her young daughter, who has special needs, off at Hutto Elementary School with no signs of injury. Hours later, she says she was told her child had fallen from a 1½–2 foot chair, hit her head, and was unconscious for about 40 minutes. What followed, according to Alliyah, is almost impossible to process. She says her daughter was moved before her spine was stabilized, and no school staff rode with her in the ambulance. Once at the hospital, her daughter required emergency spinal surgery. Alliyah says her child suffered a brain bleed and a stroke. Today, her daughter is in critical condition. She is on a breathing tube. Her lungs are failing after developing pneumonia that Alliyah says was caused by hospital-acquired bacteria following surgery. This little girl is still fighting for her life. Alliyah is pleading for prayers and help with what to do. She’s fearing the worst. Whether this was an accident or something else — let’s all keep this mother strong for her daughter.

@LeanderISD @Gloria4Lisd complained DEI is illegal. The ROI was proven last night - DEI doesn’t help. If you want children to learn get rid of the technology. LISD community willing to get behind you on this. Be mad at the state for technology bills and TEKS. DEI is destructive.

This teacher-turned-cognitive scientist shared a disturbing reality that left the room stunned. “Our kids are LESS cognitively capable than we were at their age.” Every previous generation outperformed its parents since we began recording in the late 1800s. So, what happened? Screens. Dr. Jared Horvath explained: “Gen Z is the first generation in modern history to underperform us on basically every cognitive measure we have, from basic attention to memory, to literacy, to numeracy, to executive functioning, to EVEN GENERAL IQ, even though they go to more school than we did.” “So why? … The answer appears to be the tools we are using within schools to drive that learning (screens).” “If you look at the data, once countries adopt digital technology widely in schools, performance goes down significantly, to the point where kids who use computers about five hours per day in school for learning purposes will score over two-thirds of a standard deviation LESS than kids who rarely or never touch tech at school. And that’s across 80 countries.” But screens aren’t just decimating learning and making new generations less intelligent than the ones before them. They’re doing something far worse. And when you take a closer look, it isn’t pretty. 🧵
