CANADA - this is such a horrible look for you and your country. Mincing words. (It was a rule of violation but not cheating…) When you do something improper and then tell the opposing team to fuck off as they catch you and then World Curling tells you you broke the rules… But you have the stupid idiot in this video defending your cheaters, dicing words… You would be so much better off if you just admitted it, owned it, benched the cheater, something. It's atrocious how you're behaving. Just horrible.

Nolan Thiessen, CEO of @CurlingCanada, gives his view on the cheating controversy. Does he come across as someone who takes accountability? #curling #canada #sweden #olympics

@TimGarrisonMN @WolfWiseStats They have no Leader. Ant is an amazing player, but he's not a leader that inspires or holds teammates accountable. Finch can't do that either. Time for a new coach.

The Timberwolves are the epitome of average the last few games, but the manner in how they’re average is truly odd. They’re the #2 defense in the league over the last 10. They’re also the 29th offense in that span. This team has turned up the defense. If they can maintain that and get some guys healthy, they’re better than you might think after a gut punch of a few days.

Wolves seemed destined for the sixth seed at this point. Only a matter of who they play, Lakers or Nuggets. The priority has to be getting Edwards, McDaniels and Naz as close to healthy as possible.

Chris Finch when asked if it feels like the team's spirit is down right now. "For sure. That's what we just talked about. It feels like we're a million miles away from the team that we can be and that we are, and we gotta get that back with our connectiveness and our spirit. And we gotta have some guys just play better."

To be fair, Hiram Maxim achieved the first powered flight a decade before the Wright bothers, with a huge airplane that lifted three occupants off the ground. The Wrights, very importantly, demonstrated controlled powered flight, which made the airplane practical.

The story behind the New York Times’ 1903 claim that human flight was between one and ten million years away is even worse than it looks. Once you understand the backstory, you realize that the New York Times story is not really about flight at all but about how elites and credentialed “experts” mistake their own failures for the boundaries of possibility. The New York Times did not dismiss the possibility of powered flight at random. There was a very specific reason behind it. At the time, America’s most prominent scientific authority, Smithsonian Secretary Samuel Langley, had been showered with large amounts of taxpayer funding to build an aircraft, the Langley Aerodrome. Despite all the money, institutional backing, and elite prestige, Langley and his team could not get it to fly, culminating in a series of very public failures, the last on December 8, 1903. So when the New York Times declared that flight was millions of years away, what it was really saying was that if the most credentialed and well-funded “experts” cannot do it, then it cannot be done. A mere nine days later, the elites’ proclamation of impossibility lay in ruins. Two totally unknown bicycle mechanics from Ohio achieved the first powered flight using improvised parts, a few hundred dollars of their own money, and sheer persistence. The story of flight is, at its core, a story of the triumph of American individualism over elite credentialism. The fact that it was the New York Times that inadvertently delivered the proof is the most fitting conclusion imaginable.

You are completely wrong. Here's the NBA rule book statement from when they officially defined the gather in 2019. Personally I would like to see a "hard correction" in the other direction. The easiest thing is to go by when the last dribble occurs. Two steps after that. That's it. And if you're going into a shooting motion it kind of turns into three if the third step is part of a two footed jump shot. Or jump pass. (But that's actually two steps and a pivot.) official.nba.com/new-language-i…

@Magnum1ooo @HerbHoward411 There is no such thing as a “gather step” in the rule book to eliminate. There is a definition of when the first step starts. Steps start once you control the ball. When would you propose the steps start?

Retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling is not mincing words. The former Commanding General of US Army Europe says these generals were purged because they stood up against Pete Hegseth’s push to turn the US military into a Christian nationalist crusade. Retired Army Maj. Gen. Randy Manner says dozens of chaplains who don’t share Hegseth’s views are being marginalized and excluded from staff meetings. The chaplain corps exists to serve all service members regardless of faith. That apparently made Green’s position untenable. The Pope has now weighed in. Hegseth’s prayer for battlefield violence prompted a response from Rome: God does not listen to those who wage war in his name. Hertling has seen enough. So have the troops. What we experienced in the last 24 hours from the Left was nothing short of demonic. While President Trump was working all day on a critical mission to rescue an American pilot, the left ran a massive campaign pushing the lie that he was dead. We need a complete investigation into who paid for and coordinated these posts. Every account involved should be fully demonetized on X. They knew Trump had one mission: save the American pilot, not walk around and talk to the press. They still chose to attempt a mass distraction from it with a disgusting lie. If you need more proof the left hates America, you’re no better than them.

You are not reflecting the authoritarian nature of Obama accurately. I agree with slightly left of Center, but I would put him on the third or fourth run from the top in terms of authoritarian. Trump also needs to go higher in that dimension. Obama bragged gleefully about how good he was at killing people with drones. He constantly lectured in a condescending fashion about how smart he was and how strong his policies were. He aggressively advanced wealth transfer policies within the country and also from the country to the rest of the world. He and his team intentionally lied about Obama care to get it past. This is not an allegation it's an admission. I could go on for years about both Obama and Trump and their authoritarian nature. And I know it's just my opinion. Have a good day.

I'm hearing a lot of remorse about Trump in my red town where I'm a welll known blue dot. They tell me they are sorry. That I was right. And I don't rub it in their face. We are all united against Trump. We will get back to our differences once we protected our country.

The STUNNING element here is a contractual prohibition against serialization of the product. That means, by contract, the pharmaceutical company prohibited serial numbers from being attached to individual doses. THEY WANTED TO OBSCURE AND MAKE IT HARDER TO TRACK AND IDENTIFY THINGS THINGS WHEN ADVERSE EVENTS OCCURRED. AND THE GOVERNMENT'S HAPPILY WENT ALONG WITH THAT.

“I was the very first person in Canada to obtain the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine contract between Pfizer and the Canadian government, after a years-long battle through a freedom of information request. After reading the contract, what really stood out to me was this clause, which specifically said: “Purchaser further acknowledges that the long-term effects and efficacy of the vaccine are not currently known and that there may be adverse effects of the vaccine that are not currently known. Further, to the extent applicable, Purchaser acknowledges that the Product shall not be serialized.” So, of course, after reading that, it was clear the Canadian government was signing Canadians up to put an experimental, unproven vaccine into their bodies, while telling everyone it was safe and effective, even though they literally had no idea. About a year later, I submitted another freedom of information request to the Canadian government asking for: “Any and all records from December 1, 2020, to February 13, 2023, that mention adverse events, including injuries and deaths, reported to the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Vaccine Injury Support Program, from any of the approved COVID-19 vaccines administered in Canada. This should include any and all emails or documented conversations (e.g., text messages, WhatsApp messages, phone transcripts) that mention adverse events, injuries, or deaths related to any of the approved COVID-19 vaccines administered in Canada. This should include internal staffing conversations, conversations between governmental agencies, and conversations from the general public.” To this day, three years later, I am still fighting to obtain these documents. I am told there are upwards of 30,000 documents that will be released to me, but due to a backlog of millions of COVID-related documents, they are still unable to give a specific timeframe for when I will receive them. Rest assured, I have not forgotten about this important information. I will obtain these documents one way or another and will not give up.” - Jon Nisbett - ✍️ facebook.com/share/p/1Daw2i…
