Every time trillionnaire Elon gains another billion, I see what society chose instead. We could have masks on every face, whole grains for every family, and a world where no child is raised on carcinogenic lunch meat and toxic vibes. But no. One guy gets a bigger number, while the rest of us suffer. I am not asking nicely anymore.

He was sued by investors. Mocked by the people who built cars before him. His childhood heroes, the astronauts who inspired him, testified against his company to Congress. The Cybertruck window shattered on live stage in front of the world. He overpaid for Twitter by his own admission and watched its value collapse. He was beaten unconscious as a child and thrown down a flight of stairs. He has said he goes to sleep alone and it kills him. He failed in public, over and over, for thirty years. He is the richest man in the history of the world. The difference was never the absence of failure. It was the refusal to stop after it.

I have just been arrested by the police in Madrid, Spain. My phone and passport have been seized but I had a second phone in my pocket so I’m writing this from the back of the police car. I was at Puerta del Sol for just 5 minutes. Police told me I cannot have conversations in the public square. I researched the law and spoke with a lawyer and.they are wrong.

If you really need to hate rich people, if that’s your jam….. Go for it. But at least be consistent. I don’t hear a PEEP from Canadians who tweet about Elon complain about Mark Carney. A man who’s using your tax dollars and your old age funds to personally enrich himself at Brookfield. He’s using Canada’s money to make himself a billionaire while more Canadians than ever are using food banks and can’t buy a home. If you’re going to rip on Elon, then you should be LIVID about your prime minister. At least Elon uses his own money.
