The world feels quieter & emptier. It feels cruel for Mother’s Day to come so soon, before my heart has even begun to understand this new reality. I miss you more than words will ever hold, I’m so grateful you were mine, that I got to love you, and be loved by you. 🌷

𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗠𝗖 𝗠𝗟𝗔 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗦𝗡𝗜 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 The Ulster Unionist Party has welcomed the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s decision to provide greater transparency in the justice system. The move to routinely release custody images of offenders sentenced to at least 12 months in prison marks a significant step towards reinforcing public confidence and ensuring that justice is visibly upheld. Ulster Unionist Justice Spokesperson Doug Beattie MC MLA said: “The news that the PSNI is to routinely release custody images of those who are found guilty of a crime and given a minimum of 12 months custody will be welcomed by victims and survivors, as well as witnesses. The Victims of Crime Commissioner – Geraldine Hanna – is absolutely right when she says that justice does not only have to be done, but it must be seen to be done. “This fundamental change from the PSNI will act as a deterrent for many who get themselves involved in crime. Even more so, it will give confidence to the public by outlining positive criminal justice outcomes within their communities and wider society. It is important, that apart from some age restriction, no crime or group of people are exempt from this policy; it must apply regardless of religion, sexual orientation, or ethnic background. “As the Ulster Unionist Justice Spokesperson, I will be meeting with the Chief Constable where I will have the ability to discuss this issue as well as the PSNI’s well developed plans on tackling violence against women and girls.”

𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗱𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻’𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 Ulster Unionist Justice Spokesperson Doug Beattie MC MLA has called for a root and branch review of the Police Ombudsman’s Office to ensure accountability and build confidence in the organisation, which is seriously lacking. Ulster Unionist Justice Spokesperson Doug Beattie MC MLA said: “The concern expressed by the PSNI Chief Constable, which was dismissed by the First and Deputy First Minister, about the return of the Police Ombudsman while an investigation was still underway is of concern. It highlights the need for a root and branch review of how the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland (PONI) operates and what powers there are to hold both the Ombudsman and the office to account. “At present, there is no PONI accountability mechanism which maintains independence, operational and financial autonomy, as outlined in the Venice Principles. What the Principles also state is that dismissal of the Ombudsman, for serious issues such as gross misconduct, must involve either an independent judiciary or a Parliamentary process. Therefore, to insert any form of accountability mechanism, the Police(Northern Ireland) Act 1998 must be amended to stipulate a discharge process for PONI and that an ad hoc committee be established, incorporating the judiciary and qualified lay members, to adjudicate on any dismissal or suspension. “There are other issues that need to be looked at in respect of PONI, including false or vexatious claims which impact both PONI and the PSNI. We literally have minor service level complaints that should be dealt with by the internal Police disciplinary structures, being referred to PONI because the rule states that if the complainant wants it to be investigated by PONI, then they must do so even if it is a minor issue. This needs to change and a filtering process needs to be put in place which allows the PSNI to investigate minor service issues without having to refer to the complainant, therefore taking pressure off PONI. “On false and vexatious claims, there must be some recourse to hold the individual to account. By changing section 52 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998, much the same as they have with the Ombudsman’s Office in the Republic of Ireland, a charge of Perverting Course of Justice, Forgery, or Harassment can be used to bring criminal charges against anyone who makes persistent vexatious claims or false claims against the PSNI. Maybe this will be something the new Ombudsman will look at in the future. “Even as we wait to see the outcome of the review of the Policing Board, which was released a year ago, we must also look at a review of how PONI works to ensure it is fit for purpose and commands the confidence of the police and wider society. At present, it does not, and the Justice Minister should look carefully at this in the coming months as the new Ombudsman is appointed.”

I’ve been struggling to talk about gender ideology lately because all I can think about is the Giggle v Tickle decision. The days are weird when you’re waiting for three judges to decide whether woman is a category that doesn’t include men and if you can have your life back. Like, what else is there left to say? They’re not women. Ta-daaaa 🤷‍♀️ If I couldn’t find some kind of humor in it, I’d be full of rage that I created something for women but have spent years dealing with men [who claim to be women], but alas, 90% of my energy has been invested in finding something to laugh about (and focusing on the future). But, honestly, I can’t believe it has taken this long (and so much longer for other people) and so much effort and expense to establish that women are something that men cannot just identify as. It’s the most basic, simple, thing. I’ve always said that I reject the premise of this case but respect the process, yet I have to admit that I do have animosity towards the legal, political & institutional system that allowed this to happen at all. It’s a process that changes you forever. Like, I think, even if you’re against me, you have to admit there is legislation that isn’t working & it shouldn’t be left up to a private citizen to fix it. Legislators should have fixed a conflict in law. That’s their job, not mine. As I approach the end of this phase - hopefully there is a decision before December 19 - I am reflecting things that have happened in the past 4 years. Like, that for 3 of the 4 years, the person who took me to court would frequently screenshot my posts (from behind a block) and mock me. I don’t care that I was mocked so much but I care that I was being watched. I had no idea when he was watching me but the posts were sent to me whenever they occurred. While it was genuinely scary, it also proved why women would want a woman only digital platform. And I never had any institution to go to for help. The Sex Discrimination Commission at the Australian Human Rights Commission is so against women that they’ll give pregnancy protections to men before they acknowledge that women are relevant. That is genuinely terrifying. I have no idea how this case will turn out - only how I think it should - but I do know that no matter what happens next the extent of ideological capture will be exposed. That is very important, and relevant in many sectors. In the meantime, as always, thank you so much to everyone for the amazing support. There is absolutely no way I could do this by myself both emotionally & financially. (I still have $300,000+ in legal fees to pay for this round 😩) When I was growing up, my Dad would always tell me that “sometimes you have to take one step back to take two steps forward”. This whole process is a big test of that for me. Ok, that’s my woe is me vent over 😂 giggglecrowdfund.com 🩷

As it should. We must question here in NI what @NISRA and others are recording and if any data about women/sex is accurate. Policy makers rely on accurate data but if data is corrupted by gender identity how can we ever have accurate policy for womens issues.

The fact they were allowed to roam the streets and not locked up shows how much the justice system fails women! Not only were they walking free, they continued to torture the victim by not pleading guilty until the last opportunity. Disgraceful

As another man who once worked with me declares himself saddened by my beliefs on gender and sex, I thought it might be useful to compile a list for handy reference. Which of the following do you imagine makes actors and directors who aren’t involved with the HBO reboot of Harry Potter so miserable? Is it my belief that women and girls should have their own public changing rooms and bathrooms? That women should retain female-only rape crisis centres? That men don’t belong in women’s sport? That female prisoners shouldn’t be incarcerated with violent men and male sex offenders? That women should remain a protected class in law, because they have sex-specific needs and issues? That language should reflect reality rather than ideological jargon, especially in a medical context? That women shouldn’t be harassed, persecuted or fired for refusing to pretend humans can change sex? That women should not be threatened with violence and rape when they assert their rights? That freedom of speech and belief are essential to a pluralistic democratic society? That troubled minors, especially those who are gay, autistic and trauma-experienced, should be given mental health support instead of irreversible surgeries and drug treatments on non-existent evidence of benefit? That gay people shouldn’t be pressured to include the opposite sex in their dating pools, nor should they be smeared as ‘genital fetishists’ when they don’t? That cross-dressing heterosexual male fetishists aren’t actually oppressed, but having the time of their lives piggybacking off gender identity ideology? That said ideology, and the privileged, blinkered fools pushing it because they suffer zero consequences themselves, have done more damage to the political left’s credibility than Trump and Farage could have achieved in a century? Let me have your thoughts.
