Putin’s an adversary because he’s a tyrant who assassinates political opponents while jailing dissenters, rigging elections, and invading neighbors. Not because the street sweepers in Moscow are doing an adequate job. But sure, she’s over there noticing the orderly streets and has cracked the case: the American media was wrong all along. Who knew geopolitics boiled down to curb appeal? We were all just really concerned about litter this whole time.
