Claim: Another female student from Baraton University has recently passed away, this is after the discovery of her lifeless body in her room with a deep cut on her neck.
Verdict: No, the reported demise of a female student at Baraton University is not recent, and did not have a cut on her neck.
Contrary to misinformation shared online, Brenda did not hold a bachelor’s degree in Theology, as indicated by @omwambaKE on his @X account. During her memorial service The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Paul Wahonya, unequivocally refuted claims of the student's head had been severed. He confirmed that Brenda's death was determined to be natural, according to the postmortem report.
The University on January 29, 2024 through its @Meta Page issued an official statement in which Prof. Philip Maiyo, the Vice Chancellor clarified that unfounded speculations about a distressing incident had circulated across various social media platforms.
Prof. Maiyo further confirmed that the rumors were entirely false and clarified that Brenda Chepkurui2 was laid to rest on January 18.
