The primary care model for GLP-1 prescribing is broken. Seeing patients every 3–6 months doesn’t cut it—80% experience side effects and need personalized titration. No surprise that persistence rates are abysmal. If we want these medications to work long-term, we need one of two things: Pharmacist-led titration models (more accessible and cost-effective), or Specialized clinics (like ours) that offer monthly follow-up during the critical first 6–12 months. 👉 Access to a responsive care team is the #1 driver of GLP-1 success. And that just isn’t possible in most primary care settings today.
