Charlie Munger: "The very word diversification, which is taught in every business school as the holy golden grail, I consider almost asinine." "I'm only interested in investing where I have some sort of advantage. If I have the advantage in three different things, that's enough for any family." "That's fine for the ignorant people to be fully diversified, but if you actually know what you're doing, I think three investments are plenty." The man never minced words. 🤣

@Alex_Oloyede2 Europe makes ASML, the Dutch company with a total monopoly on EUV lithography machines. Without them, the US and China couldn’t produce the world’s most advanced chips for AI, smartphones, or anything cutting-edge. Europe owns that tech!

People really aren’t aware of how poor Europeans are. The most common salary in Spain is €1,298 per month. An average apartment exceeds €250,000. If you manage to save €250 per month, you’d need 1,000 months to pay for it. That’s more than 83 years to buy yourself an apartment. Is it really worth having public healthcare instead of private insurance when you have to live poor your entire life?

We are overstimulated and we don't even notice. Netflix while eating. Reels in the bathroom. Music while cooking. Podcasts on walks. We consume by default, not by intention. You keep filling every gap, then wonder why you feel foggy and unmotivated. Boredom and silence are the real growth drivers. They give you space to think and create. That's when solutions show up for problems that have been stuck for months. Leave some room.

Going to leave you with this tonight: The best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you. Go outside, travel more, go to new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, go for hikes, see cities, countrysides, take your notebook, speak to people, ask questions, start businesses - go on more side quests. You can literally just do things, and the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you. Night gang.

AI is fast moving into business, finance and computer science/math. Also eating big chunks out of legal and education and arts. Office and Admin nearly dead. This isn't hype. I see it happening daily with code. Art postings on art sites also way down. Source: Anthropic

East Asians are smart and obedient. Collective bug people. There will always be videos of young Asians performing classical music written by White men perfectly. But Asians don’t write interesting music or create original art. They are master imitators. This is why the Chinese depend on White men to invent things for them to master.

The increasing cost of housing in Denmark since 1999 has been caused 88% by mass immigration! If it wasn't for mass immigration, you would be able to purchase housing and pay rent essentially at 1999 prices. This would have been a complete life-changer for many.

Asked a friend how to turn my life around and he sent me this; "rule numero uno: There are no more zero days. What's a zero day? A zero day is when you don't do a single thing towards whatever dream or goal or want or whatever that you got going on. No more zeros. I'm not saying you gotta bust an essay out everyday, that's not the point. The point I'm trying to make is that you have to make yourself, promise yourself, that the new SYSTEM you live in is a NON-ZERO system. Didnt' do anything all day and it's 11:58 PM? Write one sentence. One pushup. Read one page of that chapter. One. Because one is non zero. You feel me? When you're in the super vortex of being bummed your pattern of behaviour is keeping the vortex goin, that's what you're used to. Turning into productivity ultimate master of the universe doesn't happen from the vortex. It happens from a massive string of CONSISTENT NON ZEROS. That's rule number one. Do not forget." ngl it really resonated with me

The less you take yourself seriously, the "luckier" you will get in life. Get rid of your pride and fear of embarrassment. Put yourself in situations where you will grow regardless of whether you feel like it or not. No one is watching, no one cares. You're gonna live your life, die, and be vaguely remembered for one or two generations if you had a loving family, that's about it.

There was a man in his early 30s in the year 2000s who always said he was waiting for the right time for anything. The right time to start the business. The right time to invest. The right time to take care of his health. The right time to fix his relationships. He wasn’t lazy at all but He was comfortable. And comfort is the most dangerous place to build a life because nothing feels urgent when nothing is on fire. Years passed quietly, the way they always do. Promotions came to people he once mentored. His friends stopped talking about dreams and started talking about school fees. His body began negotiating with him every morning. One day he realized something terrifying. Life didn’t collapse…..It simply moved on without his boldness. Most people don’t fail because they can’t win. They fail because they delay until the version of them that could have won no longer exists. Time doesn’t ruin lives loudly. It does it politely, by giving you endless tomorrows until you run out of them. That’s the truth that hurts and helps. Learn that AI course today Learn that cybersecurity today Learn that product management today Say Hi to the girl today Say hi to that contract opportunity today I hope this helps

crazy how much time is wasted as a wagie. you get paid for "8" hours of work, but you spend the first hour getting settled, checking emails, etc. then you have multiple meetings in the day booked for an hour, but almost none of them actually take the entire hour. they're like 30-45mins MAX. then by the time it hits 4pm you're just scrolling google maps pretending to be productive, waiting for time to pass so you can get home. you probably work 2 hours and waste 6, then add up 2 hours in traffic there and back, add 8 hours sleeping so you don't miss your alarm, and you've already wasted 18 hours. 6 hours left before you have to sleep again. now you have to cram chores, food, health, etc. you'll be lucky if you have any time to even think before you're back in the next cycle of 24 hours. hamster wheel.

abuse your employers as much as possible. lie, cheat, scam, etc. during his time in the army, Napoleon constantly pretended to be sick so he could get months and months of sick leave. he spent this time back home pursuing his own goals. for example, during the french revolution he was granted sick leave and allowed to return to corsica for 18 months. there is 0 indication of him being sick. he threw himself energetically into corsican politics, he spent some time writing a history of corsica, reading and re-reading julius caesar's commentary on the gallic wars, and he read so much he committed multiple pages of caesar's book to memory. all of his political campaigning in corsica in these 18 months allowed his brother Joseph to become mayor of corsica at 22 years old. ------ NONE of this would have happened if he respected the authorities above him. if he stayed in france doing working through bullshit admin work for the army. you need to remember - if your employer is paying you $40k/year, that's ONLY because he thinks he will get more from you than he gives you in your salary. all business relationships are transactional. no one is going to wake up and think "i need to grind so i can put $100m in anon's bank today!!" you need to be utterly selfish.
