Good on Fitz for speaking up! Need to get it out in the open and name perpetrators. Playing shots in the allotted time is a skill & those who aren’t capable of doing so (or refuse to!) should be penalized accordingly. Never gonna solve it completely but absolutely can improve it!

Matt Fitzpatrick was fed up with the pace of play during Sunday's final round. He even complained to a rules official about his playing partner. "That was really frustrating. It was slow today. I felt like there was a lot of stop/start. Yeah, just, you know, just not ready. When you're not ready to play a golf shot it gets frustrating after awhile. "Particularly when you playing well yourself or you're in contention or whatever it is. There's definitely, you know, it definitely knocks you out of your rhythm."

@mikeclaytongolf @MattThomas1405 Geez, I'm sure these guys are bright, but they keep insisting on hiding it. 'Long and straight' is always relative at a competitive level, and as you and many have stated, easier to accomplish now.

On Wednesday, I asked Michael Thorbjornsen for his hottest golf take, and after a long, thoughtful pause, he said “let’s not roll back the golf ball.” Asked him why not, and he went on for over a minute on why “long and straight” should still be rewarded, a very similar argument to @chambleebrandel ‘s on the matter. Thorbjornsen, who will play in the final group on Sunday in his first-ever Players Championship, ranks third in the field in SG/OTT this week and has hit 29 of 42 fairways (69%). For the season he ranks 20th on tour in driving distance, averaging 313.7 yards

I completely agree with this take. If I were king for a day I'd make 3 equipment changes:
1. Putter has to be the shortest club in your bag
2. Driver can be no longer than 44" and no bigger than 310cc.
3. Max number of clubs you can have in your bag is 10.

Kay Adams gets Jordan Spieth to talk about the broomstick and anchoring. He is cordial about it, but he also thinks the putter should be the shortest club in that bag and explains why. It’s an easy fix and eliminates anchoring essentially.

No tees, links style bunkers, 10 club limit. Scoring goes way up.
Also instead of the groove rule trying to take off spin which lowered the scoring avg, do the opposite. Super aggressive grooves that make wedges spin back too much.

Players often talk about the need to stay hydrated while playing in steamy Singapore. HSBS leader Auston Kim did that and more during Friday's post-round interview when she talked about how many calories she's now trying to consume during a round.
"This year I've started to make sure I'm eating at least 700 to 800 calories, at least, and this week, I'm eating at least a thousand whenever I'm on course."

I’ve given up on looking at my swing videos. I’ve concluded I don’t even know what I’m looking at or for.
I treat them as MRIs. I only take videos when I want to send them to my doctor Sean Foley.
I do think @SportsboxAi could be a helpful tool since it can compare good vs bad swings. But even that, you need an expert guiding you through what’s happening.

Some course notes from 8 holes.
-Greens are really fast for how soft they are. I ran a 9ft putt 8ft by lol
-Ball squirts way right when the water gets in between my club and ball, somehow made par.
-In the fairway bunker on 8, spin a full 7i from 170, lands pin high and spins back 20ft lol
