@BoilerBumRTKnee @SVPAnalytics Haha. Tough to see either playing the 4 and with both on the court at the same time I think the sacrifice offensively would be too significant.

Center position minutes game Since DJ will be starting Let’s say he plays 25 minutes per game Who is playing the other 15? Burgess is a 4 so probably not him Do we think Sinan is ready to play 15 minutes a game, especially when conference play comes around? People get mad when I say we need frontcourt help and say trust they will develop but don’t give answers to rotation minutes. I trust Painter and Brantley. Not the issue. I trust players will develop. Not the issue. But how would the minutes look? Plugging in a transfer 5 to compete for minutes is not a bad idea.

Munetaka Murakami is expected to play first base for the White Sox. With Murakami, Colson Montgomery, Kyle Teel, Edgar Quero, Miguel Vargas and Chase Meidroth -- and Braden Montgomery not far behind -- the White Sox's young bats have a chance to be quite good in the coming years.

In this week’s Top 25, Arizona, Alabama, Gonzaga and North Carolina make big moves. Indiana and Michigan State debut in my poll with offenses that function in very different ways: nytimes.com/athletic/67922…

@GoodmanHoops okay, winning a natty is a must, I get it. But how long does a blue blood stay blue blood if they haven't done anything in the last ~20 years?

And so it begins! Men's Bracketology: 2026 NCAA Tournament espn.com/espn/feature/s…. 🏀🏀 For all the talk about bad losses in March, Purdue has been remarkably consistent: The Boilermakers have never been worse than a 5-seed since the 2015-16 season, have reached at least the second weekend in six of the nine tournaments over that span and, despite the ignominy of falling as a 1-seed in 2023, came back with another top seed in 2024 later to emerge as the best team in the country not named UConn. The lottery picks are generally not ending up in West Lafayette. And Matt Painter's best player in recent history, Zach Edey, wasn't good enough to start as a freshman. But Painter has done a remarkable job in retention and player development. Purdue is excelling as an old-school college basketball team in a new wave era -- its reward could be a preseason No. 1 ranking for 2025-26. Having been built largely from the ground up, the Boilermakers seem likely to hold the top spot of our forecasted bracket for the foreseeable future.

Perhaps my favorite stat.... Purdue has won 127 straight games when scoring 90 points -- last loss to Iowa State on Nov. 26, 1987 (a span of 13,591 days).

Braden Smith of @BoilerBall has recorded 150+ points, 80+ assists & 25+ steals in January 2025. No other DI player (men's or women's) this century has reached those marks in a single calendar month.

@Kapps4life @JamesFox917 I’m actually a lot more excited about this team than the last 2 - even if they stink, at least they don’t have the GlassMan playing third. Don’t know how I’m going to watch them though -definitely aren’t paying $20/month to watch that trash. Are they trying to kill interest?

The #WhiteSox have a top five farm system in baseball and very likely will have totally clean financial outlook after 2025 with an entirely new front office and development staff. It doesn’t mean success but there’s absolutely a clear path forward.
