@Eyebee @implausibleblog Stress isn’t an illness though, it’s a normal physiological reaction to new or challenging situations.

@implausibleblog I'm a workplace Mental Health First Aider, and I've had to deal with managers that have told me to my face that stress isn't a real illness. That's what we can be up against.

Guto Harri, "The massive increase in largely a bunch of fairly young able-bodied people who have too much anxiety to go into work" "Who in six minutes with a GP can be signed off and earn more than the average working class person has to work very hard in often stressful jobs" Trevor Phillips, "I think you just invited a real pile on on social media for you Guto. Good luck with that"

@sturdyAlex Surely people should prefer rich donors to spend their money, rather than Starmer spending his wages (*our* money) on fancy clothes? Whether people like it or not, him and his wife *have* to be well presented as representatives of the UK. Do they expect him to shop in Primark?

@bmay Ironically, this called the ‘dead cat’ stratefy. Idea is you chuck a dead cat in the room, then everyone is talking about the dead cat instead of anything else. Trump probably took it literally, as usual. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_cat_…

Pete Buttigieg is one of the smartest and most capable political communicators on the planet. This is extremely insightful on Trump.

@atrupar This is him getting confused between sex and gender. He’s talking about schools allowing kids to change their pronouns within the school setting, without consulting parents (usually because they might put the kid in danger if they do). As already established, he’s a moron.

@colinrtalbot @jonlis1 You won’t though. You will be able to sit anywhere you like. Where are the people who wish to smoke meant to go?

Once again: let people put whatever they want into their own bodies provided they’ve been told exactly what it is and what risks that may bring. Smoking should be banned in public indoor spaces because that harms others. Outside, in the company of adults, mind your own business.

@BeardedGenius A man said this to his friend once when I walked past with my mom. I was 11 and wearing a mini skirt because it was boiling hot.

Help! Have a dinner party this weekend: one person is coeliac so can’t eat gluten, another can’t eat dairy, a third has a nut allergy. What on earth do I make for dessert?!

@starvingvampyr Shampoo caps are also really good, you don’t have to use water but they actually wash the hair.

@actuallymeow @aapennington MPs should be experts on their constituents and constituency. Many also have other areas of expertise, but that should be secondary.

@aapennington So why have elected MPs at all? Why not a government of unelected experts?

@FPLMate Tesco said we’d have to wait two days for a new delivery. We had basically no food, so I kicked off and the manager of the delivering Tesco personally delivered our repicked order that evening.

@FPLMate The same door number on a similarly named road once accepted our entire £180 Tesco order. Refused to open the door when the driver tried to get it back. This was in middle of covid too when we shopping slots were almost impossible to get.

Ordered £40 worth of Indian food and it was delivered to our neighbour by mistake. Knocked on the neighbours door to see if they had it, and they had already started eating it. I’m dumbfounded by this. Do people just accept and eat other people’s food??? Is this normal???

@DrRobgalloway @KateBurkeNHS Perhaps NHS hospitals should up their game and only allow food outlets that serve a balanced offering eg M&S or Waitrose.

@MichaelRosenYes We scrimp and save to send our teen to an independent school. Anecdotal, but there are some of us out there. However, we support the addition of VAT, and will scrimp and save even further if we must.

Statistic wanted please in order to justify claim that private education is being used by people who 'scrimp and save'. Further statistic needed that if VAT is put on, that this group will not be able to afford private education. Gross numbers and/or percentages please.

@OhlerVirginia @LeeRberger I came here to say this! 100% the child’s favourite toy. A tool, but safe enough for their child to play with, and to learn with, with one sharp edge. Possibly their parents old tool, passed down when they got a new one.

@LeeRberger Seems to me the tool shaped rock is a tool, and more importantly, a toy. Like playing with the wooden spoons. You bury a child with a favorite toy.

@No1552 @southlondonjohn @Femi_Sorry I know exactly where this is and that left turn is into a supermarket car park. Once you’re in the left hand lane, there’s no chance of getting back onto the roundabout, it’s an extremely busy road.

In their defence, maybe they're didn't know the left lane is just for turning left, and therefore assumed the cyclist would stick to the side of the road, rather than stay in lane. Hence why I've blurred their plate. But still. This constant crap is WHY I just got a camera.
