@RosieisaHolt I’m seeing a lot of posts like this. Wonder sometimes why BlueSky isn’t trending on X…🤔

Ello ello. I am still on this hellsite though conflicted on whether to be, but I’ve also moved onto Bluesky, so far just seeing a lot of cats on there. bsky.app/profile/rosiei…

So it’s a wee bit of a leap over to the 🦋 place, where I’ve got 70 followers rather than 33,000, but some of the nicest people are already there and I hope more friends give it a try. See you there for the Sunday caption contest, my name there is also @GirlsOwn

@ahistoryinart Did Mary continue her career as an artist, or did she just end up doing the mending (albeit in arty beads)?
English

'La reprise' (the mending) (1912) Ambrose McEvoy’s untimely death in 1927, aged forty-nine, cut short the life of one of England’s most innovative portrait painters.
The painting depicts McEvoy's wife Mary, they had both attended the Slade School during the 1890s, but the couple did not meet properly until 1900 when they were introduced by their mutual friend Augustus John at the National Gallery.
