Agree with staffing, in my neighbourhood hard to find a cafe/restaurant that isn’t understaffed. Had lunch at a restaurant last weekend, completely choka had only 2 staff running ragged trying to attend to everyone. Due to this they looked tired, pissed ended talking abruptly to customers and service was delayed and missed orders. Pity as restaurant dishes out real tasty food.

@Kayke777 I don’t get it the cafes in HB all look busy. Ditto restaurants. Mind you-their costs are gonna be higher. And minimum wage hikes has really made staffing expensive

Such a pity another business bites the dust. Luna all day stormed the market and not for very long, now under liquidation. I visited their Takapuna store, so many shops and cafes now emptying out. Prepare for many more to come.

Another liquidation a very well known construction company. Who here on X knows of Pitch Black Construction. They the next company business to bite the dust. Well known construction company, known for doing villas, they just recently did a huge promo development villa on Birkenhead Avenue Northshore. Just go off motorway, took sometime to take detour around Z petrol station cnr of Ponsonby. There is a fire there, black smoke can be seen at Z petrol station. Take care around those parts if in the city.

@LBTross @Kayke777 Pay attention: there is no Z station on Ponsonby road. Z - Ponsonby - Service Station This is just off Ponsonby Rd on Williamson Ave (a side street very close by). 👉 It’s about a 1–2 minute drive or short walk from Ponsonby Road.

@nzpoliticsgroup Streets near the Uni’s were absolutely full of students people till 4pm and heaps of overcrowded buses and two looked like that.
