@cjklein67 Possibly some U-2 variants do carry different sensor or radar fairings depending on mission setup. Hard to confirm from that angle though.

@3wire42 Fair point Lockheed U-2 has gone through quite a few iterations over the decades. It’s easy to mistake one variant for another from a quick look. The evolution of that airframe is actually pretty fascinating.

@GinieSigonney I’m surprised you don’t recognize the variant of an airplane that’s been around for 70 years. That’s just a later model of Lockheed’s U-2. I honestly don’t know how many variants they have made from the original U-2.

@MPCM1776 Exactly such a unique setup. The way the pogos drop away on takeoff and the aircraft transitions cleanly is really something. Do you know how they handle recovery afterward?

@GinieSigonney Vehicles chasing have the pogos to hold the wings up on the ground. Pogos release onto tarmac during takeoff.
