I have worked many shifts where I ask the resident what they are working on that day, but I think it probably would be a good idea (and level the playing field) to share with the resident what I want to work on as an educator. Would make end of shift feedback a two-way street.

Saw this on Instagram, good visual aid to show what a volume of 500ml look like inside a BVM (average BVM =1500ml) Consider this when ventilating patients. Estimate weight then consider 6-8ml/kg. *Individual cases will vary as will clinical presentation

Hey emergency doctors, I just thought you should know that when you tell us you did an eye ultrasound, it will never change anything that we do, ever, until the end of time.

@broomedocs Well if you ask my opinion, I will ask about history and if there is a visual field cut & visual acuity, and if suggestive of a retinal detachment, will help get the patient seen within 24 hours. Ultrasound does not factor into that decision for ME. Maybe for you, which is fine!
