.@SW_Help what’s this new rule about not allowing a train to leave if there are people standing…?!? if you provided the advertised ten coaches we wouldn’t have to stand…

Tomorrow many train companies saying only travel if absolutely necessary. Tfl say: “consider if your journey is necessary.” When systems fail (which they will in this heat) if fewer passengers a lot easier to deal with. Good luck.

Ye Olde @SW_Help trick of cancelling all stops in the New Forest on a Friday night to no doubt rig their punctuality stats… (The 1835 from Waterloo, to be precise). Bravo for another display of customer service!

@SW_Help So you decided that kicking all the passengers off the train was the correct customer service decision. Indeed a new low in SWR service!

@keatingetom Hi, the train service was delayed so the train service team made the decision to run the service fast to make up time. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. I'd advise making a claim to delay repay via the link attached. southwesternrailway.com/contact-and-he… ^RC

Thanks @SW_Help for just arbitrarily cancelling all stops on the 1835 to Weymouth through the New Forest. Your commitment to customer service reaches new lows!!

@SW_Help Yes. But that doesn’t explain why the Mew Forest stops were arbitrarily cancelled when the train was still going through the NF to Bournemouth. Or does the timetable matter more than customers.

@keatingetom Hi, is that where you are travelling to? If you got off at Southampton which I'm assuming you did, and you are looking to travel to Ashurst New Forest, then the next service was the 20:28. Did you manage to board this? ^RC

Hopped out of a rowing boat and straight into the clubhouse (hence the decor) to join CNN this morning. Spoke about what we know of the state of Iran’s nuclear programme, prospects for talks, and implications of military pressure on Iran’s willingness to negotiate or weaponise.

@LordRickettsP For those like us at @CFS_RUSI who study the financial dimension of electoral interference, it may actually represent ‘hostility’ on two fronts, unfortunately…

@NicholasVinocur I fully agree. Perhaps de Wever would like to spend a couple of weeks in Kyiv and reflect on whether his actions to limit Ukraine’s access to critical funding are as principled as he seems to think they are. We criticise Orban, but de Wever’s (in)actions are next level…

The risk (being sued in a court, causing some measure of concern among other investors) must be measured against the risk of allowing Ukraine to be fully invaded, pillaged, spilling millions of refugees into Europe and threatening security. This is the real question
Hosuk Lee-Makiyama@leemakiyama

The issue is that freezing or repurposing sovereign assets is a violation of international law. Sure, the law is a fiction relative to hard reality of Ukraine. But we create a new order where foreign assets are ever safe. Bear in mind EU has more assets abroad than anyone else.

@tashecon I don’t understand how Euroclear can be so tin eared… but then again, when you look at the shareholder names, perhaps that might indicate who the audience is for these repeated comments…
