We have a mix of rural, suburban and urban communities. If you can win here you can win anywhere. Now that the DNC nominating calendar is final, Michigan will have a big say in who our Democratic nominee is in 2028.

I was convinced by “feminists” that kids would ruin my life. For much of my 11 years with my husband, I told myself that I didn’t want the fussing, the inconvenience, and the pain of childbirth. Canada is one of America’s most critical allies. Michiganders know that better than anyone — we share bonds of family, culture, commerce and closely intertwined supply chains. The President’s 50% tariff on 500 Canadian goods, including hockey sticks and milk, does nothing to help American families. It just substitutes serious trade policy for pettiness. Excuse me you moronic idiot. Married women know exactly how to prove citizenship. We had to change our DL using our birth and marriage certificates after marriage. We had to change our social security using our birth certificate after marriage. We had to change bank accounts, investment accounts and employment records. Married women got this. Obviously men don’t.

If Turkey is now committed to "decolonization," does that mean they will give back the lands taken from the many ethnic and religious minorities who have been victims of Ottoman & Turkish imperialism? Will the Armenians have their ancient lands restored to them, or receive reparations for the genocide inflicted on them in 1915? The Kurds given the right of self-determination? The ancient Greek regions returned? Will the 1974 Turkish invasion and occupation of Northern Cyprus be reversed? Will the descendants of Jewish families who fled Kemalist policies of forced assimilation be given compensation? Will the Hagia Sophia be returned the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, from whom it was stolen? Will there be a truth & reconciliation project recognizing the millions of slaves taken & trafficked by the Ottoman Empire, particularly the countless boys kidnapped from Balkan Christian families for forced military service? Will compensation be given to Christians for the hundred of Churches and monasteries destroyed? The possibilities for Turkish decolonization are endless.
