@bla_bidza Ummm what is the difference between imported second hand clothing and imported new clothing? As long as the imported stuff are cheap and of good quality, whether new or second hand, the Zimbabweans will always buy what they can afford .just ban both.
English

Statutory Instrument 59 of 2026, which prohibits the importation and trade of second-hand clothing and has now come into effect, represents a potentially significant policy intervention for Zimbabwe’s economic re-industrialisation agenda.
If effectively implemented, the measure could stimulate the revival of the domestic textile and garment manufacturing sectors, while also strengthening formal retail value chains. This, in turn, may have positive spillover effects on the financial sector by creating conditions for increased formalisation, improved cash flows, and the gradual restoration of credit systems tied to productive industry.
The policy also carries important employment implications. A revitalised textile ecosystem, from cotton production to manufacturing and retail, has the capacity to generate substantial jobs and support broader economic inclusion.
Beyond the economic rationale, the move speaks to standards within the domestic market, reinforcing the need for a more dignified and self-sustaining consumption framework.

About a month ago, a man living abroad gave my brother $10,000 to start a business. My brother used the money to set up a pure water factory, which he has been running since then.
Later, when the man called to check on the progress, my brother explained how he used the money and even showed him the factory. But the man wasn’t impressed. He questioned if that was what the entire amount was used for, said he expected something more “sens!ble,” and expressed disappointment.
Since then, he has stopped responding to my brother.
Why do you think he reacted that way?

@KMutisi @edmnangagwa If the majority are behind the CB3, let's go for a referendum
English

You are not fighting anywhere, neither are you fighting anyone… you are just exercising your democratic right to DISAGREE… that’s the DEMOCRACY President @edmnangagwa & his comrades fought for… In the end, the WILL of the majority will prevail… & the majority loves CAB 3🔥🔥🔥🔥

Dear @matinyarare, in Zanu-PF, it's a crime to use your mind. We welcome you to this fight against the CAB3 that Mnangagwa is using to force himself on Zimbabweans.

🚨 Breaking News 😳😳😳
Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that Will Smith still doesn't live with her in the same house – and she's in no rush to change that.
"I might eventually allow him to move back in, but for now, I want to stay alone and enjoy my private space."
Her Reasoning:
"I'm really enjoying doing my own thing without any disturbance. I don't yet know how we're going to rebuild our life together – but I believe we will when the time is right."
Let's recap:
• She had an "entanglement" with their son's friend
• Will stayed. Publicly. Unwaveringly.
• He slapped Chris Rock on live TV to defend her
• He apologized, took the heat, lost work
• And now... he doesn't even live in the same house as her?

After a messy split with Nelson Chamisa, Tendai Biti's political star faded. Now, he's trying to make a frantic comeback by campaigning unlawfully and disturbing peace. It's the commendable that @PoliceZimbabwe stepped in to hold him accountable for his mischief.
