Today, I hosted the GIZ Kenya Country coordinator on Governance Thomas Ansorg who paid me a courtesy call. We discussed areas of partnership, among other things, Public Finance Management, Climate change, Capacity building our internal audit and mentorship opportunities.

Co-hosted a consulatative meeting on the implementation of the donor funded livestock projects with my Garissa counterpart @Nathif_J_Adam at the @KenyaGovernors Headquarters.

Signed MOU with @SafaricomPLC that will enable Bungoma to fully digitize services through a Mobile app called "My County" The digital App will ease access to and payment of services like Parking, Permits, Licenses, Land rates, water services and other devolved services. @LREB14

I join the county in mourning the passing on of Mukami Kimathi, the widow of the late mau mau freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi. The country has lost a great woman who shall be remembered for paying the highest price for Kenya to become a Republic. May her soul rest in eternal life

Bungoma will soon receive Ksh 33 Billion for bulk water and sanitation projects from the national government. I'm indebted to PS for Water Dr. Paul Ronoh for considering Bungoma for such a multi-billion project during our meeting at Maji house today. @mithika_Linturi #Bungoma

After deliberations with Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock @mithika_Linturi and Governors from Sugar growing counties, we have called for the review and Implementation of the current report by the task force on sugar industry.

Currently at Kilimo house for a meeting with Agriculture and Livestock CS @mithika_Linturi together with other Governors from sugar belt counties. Our discussion with the CS will centre on the competitiveness of state owned sugar mills and their current state of affairs.

Joined President William Samoei Ruto in Malava, Kakamega county for Commissioning the construction of Malava-Kimang’eti-Ikoli road. As a leadership we commend the President for reassuring our people that Nzoia sugar company will not be Privatised.

CECM for Finance Chrispinus Barasa today tabled my first budget estimates for financial year 2033-2024 to the county assembly. The Budget concentrated on my manifesto with agricultural & ward based projects taking the lion's share. Other big harvesters were Roads and Health.

My Government through the directorate of special Programs, today, distributed food packages at Mosques across the county to help needy Muslim families ahead of their Idd-Ul-Fitr celebrations. The donations are for use to mark the end of Ramadan where Muslims indulge in feasting.

Had a chat with CS for Trade and Investment @HonMoses_Kuria and PS Dr. Mukhwana on actualization of an Industrial Park in Bungoma. We intend to become one of the pioneer counties to benefit with 100 Million allocated for Industrial parks for counties by the National government

We have held a cordial meeting with President @WilliamsRuto on matters development among them revamping of Nzoia sugar company, restarting stalled roads in Bungoma and opening up new ones. We also had a candid discussion on provision of safe water across the County.
