Sometimes we lose more from indecision than we do from unsuccessful actions. To try and fail always seems to have better rewards than to overthink an idea to its death. We can only be certain of what's done not what could have been done.

@praize_adeyemo Yes! I am of the opinion that to curate the best experience, it helps to sandwich academic pursuits with corporate experiences. Intern while in school, work for a bit before a masters then work again before a PhD. That way, you're never out of touch with "life"!

Skills I picked up in my corporate 9–5 years are saving my life in this PhD.😩 Managing up. Managing across. Following through. Anticipating gaps and looking for solutions. Who would have thought the things that helped me survive corporate life would be valuable in academia?😃

@docneto Again, we so have the problem of citizen-centered governance. There's absolutely nothing to study here, we just have leaders who do not think properly and we have people who just cheer them phoolishlie. The cost of this "feasibility" is enough to initiate a rail system.

@Arakunrin_emma @FinPlanKaluAja1 The bulk of your questions are what a feasibility study answers, aren't they? Can it be done, is it profitable, is it sustainable etc. I see no reason why at this point we should dismiss such efforts for fear that the eventual implementation wouldn't succeed.

Investors will come; that's banking on Messi to bring back Champions League back to Camp Nou. So, privatize it, because Abia can't sustain it. I am all for capitalism, what's the contingency plan before such investors come in with their money? Abia is running on a deficit and servicing bad debts from past administrations. Abia can't susceffuly pay off gratuity because of this; just basic economics. What's the response to increasing the HDI; I’ll give it to him. He is outperforming a lot of governors on such metrics.

That port is 465 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Abia State is approximately 29 to 35 miles from the Atlantic Ocean 4. Does Abia have a river route to the sea, just like Idaho? yes. The Imo River flows from Imo to Abia, to Akwa Ibom, and finally to the Atlantic. So geographically it's possible 5. I recall VP Osinbajo signed a hydrographic survey and dredging of the Oguta Lake and Orashi River agreement with Imo state for the Nigerian navy to chart a route to the Atlantic Ocean, from Oguta Lake to the Orashi River, passing through Degema to the Atlantic Ocean. 6. Geography is just one factor; there are Financing and rights issues, as this river flows from one State to another and finally to the Atlantic. The areas being looked at are the Obeaku-Ndoki or Azumini for a river port 7. It's fair to question why any State, especially a "landlocked" state, will invest in a river port. Clearly, there are many issues to address before any inland port is funded & completed. I will support the State to finance the feasibility study, that's their equity contribution. Let the private sector then come together and form a commission to seek approval and raise financing, if the project is bankable. if we are talking of a channel for barges feeding a larger seaport on the Atlantic proper, and this proposed river port. It's not a boondoggle. If you must comment on the feasibility or otherwise af a South East river port, at least know your geography

My aunt who refused to vote last elections just told me she has registered for her PVC. She lives in an APC stronghold.
