serious question why do people want the steam controller so bad . i always imagined most pc gamers hate controllers and begrudgingly get the cheapest xbox360 controller they can for a few games … but idk. maybe Couch gaming is more popular than i expected (serious)

i’m fckin exhausted from all the anthropic drama tbh but it keeps getting more and unhinged, timeline of events:
- palantir revealed they used claude to capture president maduro
- anthropic didn’t like that. raises concerns to palantir.
- palantir tells pentagon who panics and demands unrestricted access
- dario refuses to bend the knee, dept of war blacklists him... ("we don't need claude")
... then uses claude to strike iran ("wait we do need claude")
- sam altman swoops in to steal the deal for openAI, signs better terms than anthropic ( i honestly think sam did a good job on the terms, poor execution tho)
- claude goes #1 on app store (public aligns with anthropic)
- but then dario goes unhinged in a leaked memo calling trump a dictator and openai staff "gullible"
- then apologizes saying "we're still in discussions with pentagon"
- today: pentagon officially confirms anthropic is a 'supply chain risk' and are not entertaining discussions.
overall its a shit-show - everyone loses.
claude is obviously a great (vital?) tool for national defense and we're pissing it away on a bitch fight.

the actual best part is that you have a rapidly depreciating asset that's gonna be able to run stuff that's 80% as good as frontier models at 3x slower speed and locked to single message throughput while sounding like a jet engine going.
But when it's not running you feel like you're "wasting resources" so you just get it to do whatever hole creating<>hole filling equivalent is in digital work land.

@vicious696 Only problem with this take is they obviously spent a ton of time modeling the dripiest clothing only for it to be unappreciated except in menus, 3rd person motorcycle, and like 3 short cutscenes. Release build at least had clothing have armor stats but they stripped that later
