This weekend, I travelled all the way to convince Maama to retire from the LC1 elections and focus on her health. Her response: First, your advice is coming late. Secondly, im unopposed and still want to serve women. Thirdly, why didn't you stop the president from standing? Isn't he still our loved president? At that point, I surrendered. 😂 Can only pray for her. Meanwhile, for every meeting she hosts at home, it somehow becomes my budget line for drinks and Food😭

Watoto Church to host the Thanksgiving Service for the Kabaka’s 33rd Coronation Anniversary
Watoto Church is honoured to host the Thanksgiving Service for Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II's 33rd Coronation Anniversary. The church prayers will take place on Friday, 31 July 2026 at Watoto Church Bweyogerere.
In a special press conference hosted by the Katikiro of the Kingdom of Buganda, Senior Pastor and Team Leader, Watoto Church Ministries, Pastor Julius Rwotlonyo, expressed gratitude to the Katikkiro and the Kingdom of Buganda for choosing Watoto Church to host the Thanksgiving Service.
"As a church, we welcome every opportunity to give thanks to God. The service will glorify God and honour the Kabaka and people of Buganda. I appreciate the Katikkiro and the organising team for their cooperation throughout the preparation journey,” he said.
The Katikkiro of Buganda, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga praised Watoto Church's partnership, saying that the event is a milestone that marks Watoto Church as the first evangelical church to host a Thanksgiving Service for the Kabaka.
“It has become our practice to hold prayers for the anniversary celebrations at different places of worship, and this year, it pleased His Majesty, the Kabaka to come to Watoto Church. I am very happy that you agreed to host the service as we pray for the king, the kingdom, and the country. We’re grateful for this partnership and look forward to celebrating God's goodness together,” he said.
The Thanksgiving Service is open to everyone. And as preparations gear up, members of the congregation are invited to pray for a God-honouring service that exalts Jesus Christ; serve and attend the service where possible.

BUILDING BRIDGES- CONNECTING LIVES.
Every time it rained, life came to a standstill. 🌧️❌
For the people living around the Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement in Northern Uganda, the Nyara River wasn't just a body of water.
During the rainy season, it became a barrier. A dangerous, swelling torrent that completely cut families off from the rest of the world.
Think about what that actually means on the ground:
Children stuck at home, missing class because the water was simply too terrifying to cross.
Farmers watching their crops rot across the river, unable to reach their own land.
Sick families blocked from getting to the nearest health clinic.
Isolation. Plain and simple.
But a new bridge has changed everything. 🌉✨
Co-funded by the governments of Japan and Uganda, and brought to life by @UNOPS, this crossover might look short. But ask anyone living there, and they'll tell you it's a lifeline.
Suddenly, 370,000 people—including over 140,000 refugees from South Sudan—have their lives back. Kids are back in school.
Doctors are reachable. Humanitarian aid can actually move.

Kampala's roads, drainage and infrastructure had one man behind the technical decisions for almost a decade. Most Kampalans drove on his work every day and never knew his name.
Andrew Kitaka holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Makerere University and an MSc in Transport and Planning from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
He started his career at Kagga & Partners, a consulting engineering firm in Kampala, then moved to the Road Agency Formation Unit (RAFU) at Uganda's Ministry of Works and Transport.
When Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) was formed in 2011, he became its first Director of Engineering and Technical Services. He held that position for nearly a decade - overseeing roads, bridges, drainage systems and major infrastructure upgrades across the city.
He also holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and in Construction Law and Arbitration. In December 2018 he was appointed Acting Executive Director of KCCA. He stepped down in October 2020.
His wife, Dr. Sabrina Kitaka, is a consultant paediatrician at Mulago - one power couple who chose to stay and serve Uganda.
He is a registered engineer with the Engineers Registration Board of Uganda and a member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers.
The city you live in was built by engineers like Kitaka.

The Quiet Financial Dance
There is a common misconception that earning money and creating wealth are the same thing. In reality, they are two different steps in what I call the quiet financial dance.
Earning an income is primarily about covering your living expenses—the carry cost of your life. Your housing, food, transportation, healthcare, and other day-to-day needs all require a steady stream of income. Without income, it becomes difficult to sustain your lifestyle.
Wealth creation, however, begins after those expenses are covered. It is determined by what you do with what remains. What assets do you buy? What skills do you invest in? What relationships do you cultivate? Which industries and opportunities do you position yourself around? These choices ultimately determine whether your financial future expands or remains stagnant.
The two processes often occur simultaneously, but they are not the same. A person can earn a high income and still fail to build wealth. Likewise, someone with a modest income can steadily accumulate wealth through disciplined decisions and ownership of productive assets.
In simple terms, earning money is different from managing money. One generates cash flow; the other determines whether that cash flow compounds into lasting wealth.
Unfortunately, many people focus almost entirely on increasing their income while paying little attention to what happens after the paycheck arrives. The quiet financial dance is learning to balance both. Income keeps you in the game. Wealth is what eventually gives you options, security, and freedom.
Income pays for your lifestyle. Wealth pays for your future.
