Today we had a furniture move out. All this stuff was thrown away by the customer. You all know me, I don’t throw away things that can be used by the leas fortunate. All of this, queen bed and frame, dresser, kitchen table and chairs, end tables, couch and recliners are going to a new home tomorrow for a lady who’s been sleeping on sleeping bags in her house she just moved into. She was a victim of abuse, had to get out quick and has nothing. Now she does 😊

@barbinpei I’ve heard of similar timeframes of people dying within hours/ days of being moved from the hospital/ homes to hospice. 😥💔❤️
English

@KerryDaley2 Yes. She had just come to palliative care the day prior. She didn’t want to hang around there.

@NewfieChic Very nice. Please thank him from me for his service. I currently have 2 CAF family members who served/ are serving there now. 🙏

@barbinpei Brute lobster. Even I couldn’t eat all that in one sitting…😊

On the topic of my driving, many people say things such as “you aren’t a very good driver” or “your driving is scary” HOWEVER today at the gas station I saw a lady pull away with the gas pump still in her car and she managed to rip the whole thing out and then she just booked it out of there so at least I definitely know I’m not the WORST driver 😂

So weird to be scrolling and see my face.
Sadly our bill was voted down again. It was a very common sense change to make, which could have signaled a willingness to actually make changes in the interest of addressing administrative burden, but I guess that was too much to ask.

For the second time in two years, the P.E.I. PCs voted down a bill that would have prohibited employers from requiring employees to obtain a sick note from a physician before allowing them to stay home from work. #peipoli Read more ⬇️ saltwire.com/prince-edward-…

@BishopBarron Happy 40th Bishop! Thank you for your ministry to so many! 🙏🙏

Friends, today I celebrate my 40th anniversary as a priest.
These past decades—almost two-thirds of my life—have been joyful indeed, and I have never once regretted my decision to become a priest. The priesthood has taken me all over the world and deep into the hearts of people I’ve been privileged to serve.
Thank you for your prayers and support over these many years. Please continue to pray for me and all priests, and know of my continued prayers for you.

When I was a relatively new priest, I was asked to serve at a student parish.
My first day there, a man came up to me and made a derogatory comment at me for wearing clerics. He then asked me if I was going to start having “cookie worship”. I asked him what he meant and he started complaining about Eucharistic adoration.
Later in the day I showed up to my first staff meeting, and I learned he was the director of RCIA for the Parish.

The Catholic chaplain at my college believed the Eucharist was purely symbolic.

Clergy were asked about their religious beliefs on various topics. 93% of evangelical pastors believed in a literal Hell. It was 70% of Catholic priests. 92% of Black Protestant pastors believed in miraculous healing. It was 47% of mainline clergy.

Watching the #kylie documentary on Netflix and this part where she talks about not being able to have kids after breast cancer treatment just hit me in all the ways because it’s the same for me.

@alandrummond2 @CAEP_Docs Congratulations Dr Stockton! Well deserved I’m sure.

This year's winner of the @CAEP_Docs Dr. Alan Drummond Advocacy Award (yes, there is such an award and no I didn't pay for it) is Dr. Kaitlin Stocktn for her courageous stand against harassment in the emergency department. She stood up for what it is right, patient safety, and they tried to silence her. But she didn't back down.

What a trip life is.
There was a time when police saw me as the problem.
Now they pick me up, take me out for dinner, and invite me to speak about solutions.
Tonight I’m with @ChiefVicPD @vicpdcanada heading to an event focused on gang prevention, addiction prevention, and showing people that rehabilitation and recovery are possible.

I invite all to pray to the Lord that the visit of His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church of the Holy See of Cilicia, may constitute a further step on the path towards full unity. Let us also pray for #peace in Lebanon and the Middle East, once again torn apart by violence and war. #ChristianUnity

Day 64 Sober 🙏
Mondays used to fucking destroy me.
Up 72 hours straight on a vodka/cocaine diet. No sleep, no food — just endless benders that ignored the calendar. I’d call in sick as a zombie… or try to sleep it off and end up doing more coke just to function.
I should’ve known to seek help when I was ripping a bunch of lines right before signing into work on my computer. I’d also turn my camera off on corporate Zoom calls because I looked like absolute shit.
A handful of times I stayed up a full week straight. My ego loved that I could still “perform.” Told myself it was sustainable. It wasn’t. Shit always catches up.
Now my Mondays look completely different.
Today: Prayer first thing. Meditation group with my rehab brothers. Small group, lecture, then YMCA to sweat it out. Ended the night at my local AA meeting.
I’m continuing to show up and put in the work — clean, present, and building something real.
If your Mondays still feel heavy — shame, old patterns, or that voice saying “just one more time” — you’re not alone.
Please seek help if you’re struggling. I’ve been to hell and back, it’s never too late. I read every reply and my DMs are open if you need someone to talk to, I’m here..
