@FrontierCorp Update: Was able to get this rectified via social media chat lol. Glad it was resolved, but Frontier clearly needs to rework their staff and think about how they deal with clients.

(1/2) @FrontierCorp Wasa charged a $10 fee for rental routers provided for a free month. I spoke to 2 agents before the billing cycle, both whom said it would be taken care of. Never did. Third agent tried to gaslight that it wasn't in my chat history. I have screen grabs.

@rossellcrowe1 @krystalball NICU is not equivocal to abortion. The only debate regarding abortion is where we draw the line on the beginning of life and NICU clearly is well past that line. You know that.

@krystalball But you also support abortion? Legit, I agree that the embargo is having a morally repugnant consequence, but you do realize the hypocrisy, correct?

@krystalball Teacher here. This reveals a huge misconception of what we do. Teaching isn’t simply depositing facts into the receptacles of student minds. There are 100s of things I do each day to help kids learn that can’t be parameterized. Reading facial cues/energy in the room, etc.

@Bojengals88 @FrawgMastar @MorePerfectUS Never said it was the only asset. I've seen MorePerfectUnion showcase that homes simply aren't being built at scale, even though we have the resources. Both because of zoning law issues and because it keeps prices up.

The flaw in your logic is thinking wealth is a single pizza 🍕 and billionaires are eating it all, leaving nothing for the rest of us. It doesn’t work like that. Money itself is losing meaning. It’s backed by debt, and they print more of it nonstop. This doesn’t really impact billionaires. They own assets. They don’t rely on cash the same way, and asset prices tend to rise when money is printed. But regular people in the U.S. earn wages and live in dollars. That’s why life felt easier in the 1950s than today. Your purchasing power is being eroded. Why do you think housing prices doubled in the last 5 years? The houses didn’t suddenly become more valuable. Your dollar lost value, and wages didn’t keep up. And politicians don’t want to talk about this. It’s easier to blame billionaires than explain how money printing impacts everyone.

The top 1% now has $53 trillion in wealth, while the bottom 50% holds less than $5 trillion. How do we close the gap? Actually tax the rich. This is how states are pushing for equitable taxes–and relief for the working class. Thread:

@FrawgMastar @Bojengals88 @MorePerfectUS I have my doubts on that. The sheer amount of wealth transfer to the upper class in the last couple of decades is colossal. I get the desire to reduce waste. Like I said, I think what Mamdani is doing with his team is great. Strong audits + looking at revenue sources.

@KetonicFuel @Bojengals88 @MorePerfectUS makes no sense: arrest / fire everyone stealing /wasting tax dollars first then see what's there, might be no reason whatsoever to raise taxes. CA alone takes 1trillion annually on taxes.if that isn't enough money then no amount is. It's only not enough because of the thieves.

I never get this logic. Take money from people creating value, jobs, and growth… and give it to a system that struggles with waste and overruns. Look at California high-speed rail. Originally ~$33B. Now projected over $100B, and still incomplete after years. We should be fixing efficiency first before asking for more money.

United Airlines and the flight attendant union have reached a tentative labor agreement that will take top pay to $100/hr by the end of the contract. Flight attendants will also finally be paid during boarding if this agreement is ratified.

Yes indeed. No need to overconsume protein in order to build muscle. When I’m in a building phase, I do consume more protein and it does slightly decrease my ketone readings from what they are in a deficit. However, no need to consume so much that ketone production is shunted entirely.

@MichaelMindrum @BenBikmanPhD Phew. Pretty strong results. Would be nice if their was affordable access in the public sphere. Really wish the public domain had their own flow of researchers and drug producers to provide adequate competition. The greed is awful.

Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) lowers HOMA-IR by 20% in SURPASS-2 and triglycerides drop routinely by 20 to 30%. It has a very modest effect on LDL (and minimal effect on ApoB) yet it lowers CV risk / events. And guess what? None of this is in conflict with understanding the pathophysiology of ASCVD or the role of LDL lowering for CV prevention.

I wonder how much of medicine is driven by drugs. For example, why did they decide that LDL cholesterol is the main marker for heart disease, rather than triglycerides or insulin? After all, triglycerides and insulin are better markers of heart disease risk. The reason? Probably because LDL cholesterol is "targetable"--there's a drug (statins) that will lower it. So it matters less that LDL is a good marker, and more that it's a number we can change with a drug. And of course, make money in the process. If there were a drug that lowered triglycerides really well, I suspect mainstream medicine would focus more on triglycerides. (Incidentally, the best way to lower triglycerides and insulin is to control consumption of refined carbohydrates.)

@BillOccham0 @MichaelMindrum @BenBikmanPhD Mate I think you over-interpreted his response. He provided research on a triglyceride-lowering drug, to add discussion to the post, which specifically mentioned targeting triglycerides lol. He also mentioned his clinical ketogenic results, which showed success.

@KetoCarnivore @triefus @siobhan_huggins Hi Amber, In that case, do you have any recs or links you can point to for optimal protein consumption for heavy weight training? Is there simply a point (for highly advanced weight trainers) where muscle breakdown requires too much protein to keep ketone levels modest?

No, not really. This is a myth. Ketone bodies are brain fuel. Once they cross a threshold of about 1.5-2 mM, the periphery drastically cuts back on using them. Not doing so would be counter-adaptive, because any situation raising KBs that much implies glucose is too low to support the brain. The brain takes up KBs in proportion to their concentration. If you let them go low in a low glucose situation the brain will be screwed. So if your KBs are low, you can be sure you were never producing high levels in the first place.

@triefus my mental state tends to be better >2, and given the higher proportion of PUFA in the sardines and OO I would have expected either deeper ketosis or the same levels so it's just weird.
