To the anti male circumcision activists: this is true. I keep seeing “wait until you hear about *male precipice amputation* on posts about women’s suffering.
That’s not the way to make allies. That isolates you with enemies.
I agree that males deserve to be heard. Just don’t scream over women to get that.

Wrong. Circumcision is one of many traditional medical procedures that offers far more (and long-lasting) medical benefits than the minimal short term risks.

@doqholliday As a NICU nurse of 27 years we have actually seen rates decrease considerably. As having also worked in the OR, a medically necessary circumcision on an adult male is definitely a major surgery. I see the risks and benefits of both.

During my son’s own,I couldn’t watch o… ah!! I ran away. It was my husband that stayed with the nurse. I can only imagine the pain those boys go through for this circumcision thing 😒.

@NJBeisner @TheLIONtribe3 I am an ICU Nurse and have literally seen old men die from Septic shock from a UTI because they are unable to clean under the foreskin. You are very wrong. I have literally had to rip the skin away to clean it, some have to go to surgery. Sit down!

@nogoodreasonn @thepeacepoet99 One of my first very patients had an odor in his room — tracked it down to the green discharge from under his foreskin. After seeing several more horrors over the years I did a 180 on circumcision. Many young men are unhygienic—now imagine old, weak, demented men.

Routine male infant circumcision is deeply immoral.
I don’t care if saying this makes me a bad Jew.
I also don’t know why secular & Christian Americans do it when it’s not *even* commanded by their religions.
Cutting into a healthy child for ANY reason is deeply immoral.
