Starmer announces that the UK is pursuing closer relations with the EU: “Brexit did deep damage to our economy. And the opportunities to strengthen our security and cut the cost of living are simply too big to ignore. We want to be more ambitious.”

scotland has its own constitution it does indeed have to be updated in language , surprised you don’t know that 😱
Michael Tandino@albions012

@AngusBMacNeil The constitution of the UK is reserved to Parliament. Surprised you don't know that 🤔

@JimQuirkesq @dearaunty @AdamJSchwarz Thanks. Grok: "Norway has near-identical access to the EU Single Market via EEA (four freedoms, equal rules), but no decision-making vote, no Customs Union, and excludes agriculture/fisheries". Thats a lot better than what the UK has right now.

So garages up and down Scotland have no fuel.. if only we had a refinery where we made pretty much all our own petrol!! Oh wait, we did but Westminster shut it down and now we fully relie on imports and the global supply chain! Westminster does not care about Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

@A_Atkinson1962 @RonaldMcCallum1 @gavinpoints Why? The last referendum the argument was by leaving the uk we would be leaving the EU so all financial services would move south. This time we would be joining the EU in some capacity so what's changed to make the financial sector now pick England over the EU?

@BrianSpanner1 I'm sure I'm not the only one who wonders why island communities keep electing SNP MSPs.

@BlackIslePMD If your constituents return yet another SNP MSP, I'm afraid you can't complain.

@JohnStuartWilso Having lived in Scotland my whole life, I can confirm there are not too many days when the wind doesn’t blow, but just in case…I’m sure there are, or will be ways to store it. 😉

Loving hearing the UK msm now talk about how much renewable energy WE have here in Great Britain, and why WE don’t need to import. When Scotland is constantly told, by the same people, that we alone, could never survive. 🤔

It's apparently IMPOSSIBLE that energy bills would get more expensive under independence. Who knew?
Andrew@xbasslichtie

@conor_matchett Well they will. If anything, its almost impossible to imagine a scenario where they would stay at the equivalent union price. Certainly no scenario where they would be more expensive.

@xbasslichtie @scotfax @PMcauk @CollieTalking But none of you have "moved on". You're still, in your various, fragmented manifestations, lying for indy. Pretending that there are "other routes" to independence, all on the back of a 35% vote share. You are beyond delusional.

@Kevin21Clark @scotfax @PMcauk @CollieTalking Likewise referendums. There will never be another referendum. The British state only allowed one last time because they thought they would win by miles. They won't allow it again. It won't happen. We move on.

@scotfax @Kevin21Clark @PMcauk @CollieTalking What case for Indy? You're a hardcore yoon based in England. What sort of case would I possibly be interested in making to you? The case has been made. That stage is over, done. We all moved on years ago.

Unimprovable example of alternative facts and nationalist brain rot here. (CalMac themselves say the service is at breaking point just now. You can’t book a ferry to or from Islay, for instance, until April 17th. Great for businesses during the Easter holidays!)

@Kevin21Clark @scotfax @PMcauk @CollieTalking It was Alex Salmond that had to point out to the media that Sterling was a freely open currency, and could be used by anyone. Anyway, as you know, even though this would help keep England afloat, this hasnt been the plan for many years now. :)

@ammacj You said I could walk so I’m challenging that. So I travel to the terminal and….get to walk or cycle at the other end. You’re an SNP spad and can do one.

@Kevin21Clark @scotfax @PMcauk @CollieTalking Scotfax is a bit of a known troll. Sits down in England ducking, diving, hiding and running. As you said, it was made very clear. "Not Allowed" to use the pound.
