It’s been 5 years since BMW used Omniverse and digital twins to rearchitect their factories and I still can’t get a journalist to get excited about simulation for Physical AI training or what a Cosmos “world model” can do for robotics. It was 2017 for Pete’s sake when the @esa used a 4,000 GPU cluster to train Euclid deep space telescope to hunt for dark matter!

Long-term guidance from the conference call on Feb 26… Dr. Stefan Murray, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, Applied Optoelectronics: "Notably, we source equipment from all over the world, including from both domestic and international locations. Going forward, we believe we are well positioned for sustained growth across both our data center and CATV businesses, and the capital investments underway are expected to fundamentally strengthen the company as we execute on these opportunities. Given the recent surge in customer inquiries and apparent rising demand, we believe that by mid-2027, 100G and 400G revenue will be approximately $90 million. 800G revenue will be approximately $217 million, and 1.6T revenue will be approximately $71 million monthly. Altogether, this represents $378 million in monthly revenue for transceiver products. However, we believe that the customer demand is even larger than this."

$AAOI To own $AAOI, you’re betting that AI data center demand continues accelerating and drives sustained adoption of high-speed optical transceivers — from 100G all the way to 1.6T and beyond. The recently highlighted $200M 1.6T transceiver order is a key near-term catalyst, validating hyperscale demand but also reinforcing a major risk: heavy reliance on a few large customers. At OFC 2026, AOI showcased its full stack — 100G → 1.6T and even a 6.4T OBO demo, aligning directly with next-gen AI architectures like NPO, CPO, and OBO. This confirms AOI is technologically positioned in the fastest-growing segment of the AI infrastructure buildout. But the real test isn’t technology — it’s execution: •Scaling capacity efficiently •Managing heavy capex •Turning revenue growth into sustainable margins and cash flow The long-term narrative is aggressive: •~$1.3B revenue by 2028 •~$111M earnings (from losses today) •Requires ~50%+ annual growth Bull case: AI optics demand + hyperscale adoption → strong revenue ramp Bear case: Customer concentration + capital intensity + commoditization risk Not a financial advice

NLRB is alleging Atlassian $TEAM illegally fired an engineer after she criticized CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes during an internal backlash over workplace changes. Atlassian says the comments were abusive, not legally protected, and that it had the right to fire her.

Was it a hominin? is a much less relevant question than 20 years ago. “But in the period between 8 million and 5 million years ago, the genetic evidence suggests the ancestral populations were mixing with each other, occasionally exchanging DNA.” johnhawks.net/p/how-sahelant…

Great stretch for people who sit at desks. It's called the Double band lat stretch. Loop 2 resistance bands (or towels) over a pull-up bar or fixed anchor above shoulder height. Grab both ends, hinge forward, and let your arms extend straight out in front of you. From here, slowly rotate side to side, feeling the stretch deepen through your lats and hips with each turn. Do this for 30 seconds to 60 seconds total. Your lats get chronically tight from sitting, and tight lats pull your shoulders forward, creating that rounded hunchback posture. This stretch opens them up and releases your hips at the same time. Do it daily and your body will thank you.

This is the kind of breakthrough that makes the future of medicine look incredibly bright. A clinical trial at Duke University is showing very promising results for patients with advanced colon cancer using immunotherapy instead of traditional chemotherapy. In the early study, the treatment controlled the disease in about 70% of patients, with tumors either shrinking or stopping their growth. One patient saw a dramatic response, his lung tumors shrank from 13 tumors to only a few tiny remnants, with the largest dropping from golf ball size to less than a millimeter. Researchers say this is an exciting proof of concept that immunotherapy could move earlier into colon cancer treatment and potentially allow some patients to delay or even avoid chemotherapy in the future.
