100 days until Election Day. 100 days until we change the future of Oregon. Let’s make them count.

Nice try, Tyrant Tina.
Your glossy #WeLoveOregon365 postcard of the Sandy River carefully leaves out the part where hard-working Oregonians get hit with $10 day-use parking permits at state parks along the river (Dabney, Lewis & Clark, and more), $5 at Oxbow, and expanded fee requirements that just rolled out to even more sites this year. Add the private paddle/tube rental costs that have skyrocketed, and a simple family outing now requires budgeting like it’s a luxury weekend.
You didn’t just “promote” the river, you helped turn a free summer tradition into another revenue stream while people are already stretched thin. The photo looks great. The actual cost of enjoying it does not.

The Sandy River runs roughly 55 miles from Mount Hood’s Reid Glacier to the Columbia River. With places to paddle, tube, swim, or simply relax along the shore, it’s a favorite Oregon escape on a hot summer day and another reason #WeLoveOregon365.

I am in Special Housing Unit (SHU).
My water faucet is broken.
I am not allowed bottles of water in SHU.
I have nothing clean to drink.
My only water comes from the shower, warm and from a brown and filthy faucet.
It has given me persistent stomach problems.
The water I am drinking is not clean, I am an American.
Innocent until proven guilty.
But I am forced to drink poisoned water.
Where are my rights?

@NateSilver538 He’s actually been using his office to enrich himself using massive corruption but sure.

@ZcohenCNN Still better than a nuclear armed Islamic Republic.

Caine specifically raised concerns about the US munitions stockpile & warned of other possible negative implications, according to the sources.
Also discussed, per source: potential for massive civilian casualties inside Iran
Sparking a potential refugee crisis
Iran possibly retaliating against Gulf energy and desalination infrastructure
Concerns about broader regional escalation
Zachary Cohen@ZcohenCNN
Vice President JD Vance and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine both raised concerns about escalating the war in Iran as President Donald Trump weighed the possibility during a White House meeting on Friday, a source familiar with the matter and a US official told CNN. On Friday night, the US appeared to pause its bombing campaign on Iran after nearly two weeks of consecutive nights of strikes. Operations are "on a hold," a Department of Defense source told CNN on Saturday. cnn.it/4fqMiSo

@BrettErickson28 What deal? Give Iran billions? And let them control the strait forever? That’s like best case right?

Just to give everyone a VERY quick breakdown of why returning to the “dueling blockades” is insane…
Due to the Houthis shutdown to Saudi vessels, roughly 4.5M barrels of oil is “effectively” taken offline. Yes, they can transit via the Suez, but at transit times ~60 days longer round trip. It’s… effectively closed for that sake.
The United States, by all indications, is backing off from the Omani Route. While this was always a TERRIBLE idea, and I can’t believe how long we continued to put Americans and civilians at risk, it DID move another ~4.5M barrels per day.
In effect, close to 9M barrels per day just got removed from the global markets.
… and that doesn’t account for Chinese demand inevitably coming back online in the future, which is another 5M barrels on the demand side.
In addition to this, when the United States lifted the blockade of Iran under the MOU, Iran was able to rapidly export 80M barrels of oil in 27 days, and rapidly import critical essential goods such as wheat, medical supplies, cooking oil, and proteins.
Those 80M barrels? These will now be sold at (conservatively) 35% higher prices than Iran had budgeted for in its Year 1405 Budget Bill.
You may have ALSO seen the reports yesterday (which are a little messed up, but directionally accurate in the total sum) that Iran has earned MORE from oil revenues during the war and blockade than they had budgeted for. This is true, and is likely ~$18B earned by my own projections that fall almost perfectly in line with their stated revenues.
It didn’t work the first time. It won’t work a second time.
Time is NOT on the United States’ side, and every day that passes is simply playing to the benefit of Iran.
The best thing Trump can do right now is make a deal, pull back our troops from the region, and get back to focusing on the best interests of AMERICA.

@BrettErickson28 Look at the bond market friend, that is where your answer is

Vaccines were once so uncontroversial that McDonald’s restaurants put the childhood immunization schedule on their tray liners.
Now, as the U.S. government sows doubt, preventable diseases could come roaring back.

@GasBuddyGuy lol, so what is the plan?.. continue to run out SPR inventories?
English

@KevinIsRight99 @propublica @grok As a percentage. Per capita it’s about equal. You know about per capita right?
English

@KevinIsRight99 @suzygra @Andie00471 Wow. Big leap there Kev. I never said I want the kids to talk to their 'rents.
To rephrase my POV on this... it is often the liberal Gen Z kids who cut off their parents because they lack the basic adulting skills to allow them to hear words and ideas opposing their world view.
English

Just went down a deep thread of MAGA parents whose children no longer speak to them. As a mother, it was painful to read. There was a lot of rationalization - democrat brainwashing, LGBTQ influences, Palestine, and MSM to name a few. And a lot of responses praying for the children to “come around.” But not one person addressed the orange elephant in the room. No one was willing to accept that supporting a grifting, lying, pedophile, rapist, warmonger could be the problem. Are they so far gone they’ll lose their children over Trump? Because THAT is what I’d call Trump Derangement Syndrome!
English

@KevinIsRight99 @suzygra @Andie00471 Why should I answer for Trump? Do you regularly pose as an authority with agency to answer for Biden or Obama or Clinton or Pelosi or Schumer?
While you're here, please provide the link to prove that "KevinIsRight99"--I'm assuming that's you saying you're right 99% of the time.

@NouveaT53568 @propublica @grok @NouveaT53568 hey want to chime in now that you know it’s actually dumbfuck Americans and not foreigners?

@propublica @grok the preventable diseases how often are they found in recent tourists , temporary visitors, or recent immigrant arrivals?
