As you near the castle wall you hear a howl and look up to see this guy. What's your next move? Think fast!

I put all my sins into a chicken to kill it so I could trick God but it escaped so now on top of everything else I have an evil chicken on the loose

The etymology of military terms is fascinating. In English, we use the word "company" to refer to two things: -A group of 100-200 soldiers. -A business. The word "captain" means: -A man in charge of a company. -A man in charge of a ship. Is there a connection between all these things? Yes. In late medieval times a company was the smallest unit that could operate semi-independently. And it was a term used often for mercenaries. Like the "Free Companies" of the Hundred Years War that got into trouble when they were unemployed. A company was a single group of mercenaries who would fight together, live together and sign contracts as a corporate entity. A company was a military business. This is why a business is also called a company. And the most effective businesses have a quasi-military esprit-de-corps and are united in a common purpose under a single leader. Now, a company is commanded by a captain. A ship is also commanded by a captain. Because functionally they are the same. A company and a ship are the smallest units that operate independently in military terms. A ship is its own little world. A company is its own little world. Both are the smallest unit where one man - the captain - holds life-or-death authority, accountable only upward. Think about that next time you look at an org chart.

I really like how right-wingers are capable of reclaiming each and every character made to mock them. You made this to satirize us? Some guy is already making a cool edit while another one is coming up with memes. Wasn't your intention? No one cares.

Dearly beloved with scruples, 1. A mistake ≠ mortal sin ever. 2. Feelingly guilty ≠ culpability. 3. STOP overthinking / overreacting to the fears (not easy, I know) and they eventually sputter and die out. 4. Treat yourself and others with the kindness and love that the Heavenly Father has for you and them. 🙂 5. Let yourself feel the emotional happiness that God desires for you. 6. Complete confidence in the hearts of Jesus and Mary. 7. Deliberate 'free' consent to mortal sin is practically and psychologically impossible (in the area of your scrupulously) due to your obsessions and compulsions until you reach emotional healing. 8. It is alright not to know everything, God is God and you are not even an angelic being. 9. Growing in knowledge and freedom is a step by step process full of mistakes. That's OK. 10. Do not belittle your sensitive soul and desire to please God, even though it hurts. Trust that God is leading you to a better place here and hereafter. 🙏🏻

For this foreigner to say @SecWar is unqualified is a JOKE. I’m glad they added the captions, though. I can’t understand a word this man says. Who voted for him? The flood of immigrants let into this country the last 20 years.

@ShaneSchaetzel It would weird them out too much. I wish we would though! The Church in America needs to be reminded how extreme our reverence for the sacred should be.
